Chapter 16 – The Academy

'It's finally time!' I said to myself as I slapped my cheeks, I looked myself in the mirror and puffed out some air. The day has finally come for me to step foot on the academy.

Years had also passed by quickly and now it's time for me to go to the academy and study. 6 years passed by that quick and all I did was cause trouble. I got Syd by my side now, and Sebastian doesn't seem like he had bad intentions around me.

However I keep finding ropes every now and then. So my theory of Sebastian not trusting me a 100 percent is still going on.

But these days... Instead of just a rope, I always find a sack beside it too now, I wonder what's the use for that?

He might've got a plan with Syd but who knows? Syd pretty much loves to hang out with me, I don't know if it's to make me believe that they like me or what, just to put my guard down. But sadly for them, I am always wary about them.

Both of them always tried to drag me out of trouble that means they don't want me to get into trouble. That's my problem, because if they hate me, they must've wanted to make trouble for me.

Or maybe they might have a change of heart.

James always visits my house too, which is kinda weird, he visits almost every day, god it's annoying!... 

Whenever he visits, I always need to stand by his side all day. He's still the same annoying person. Ever since he turned 15 and starts going to the academy, our time of being together slightly became smaller.

Not that I am complaining, it's better this way.

I haven't heard about Leon though...that guy sure still has the habit of flirting just like what the story said. Dang, that guy is actually sharp, it's good that we only met once, after all these years, he must've forgotten me already right?

"Rachel, Hurry up if you don't want to be late for your opening ceremony," My mother said as she entered my room.

She looked at me proudly and cupped my cheeks, "You've grown so much, I just hope that you won't cause trouble when you arrive there." She said and sighed.

"What?"

We heard a soft knock on the door and Sebastian entered, firstly he bowed at my mother in a sign of respect then he looked at me.

"The carriage is already set up, we're ready to go," He said.

Sebastian is my butler, but since I'm going to the academy, he was also permitted to go with me. My father said that taking Sebastian along will help ensure my safety, but really, I know what they're thinking.

"Why is Sebastian coming with me!?" I don't need a babysitter!

"They said that if a child is away from its parents, that child would become quiet rowdy."

"But I will not?"

Mother raised his eyebrows at me. "You will not?"

"Of course! Just who do you think I am?! Don't worry mother!" I said proudly.

"That makes me worry much more."

I did stop making Sebastian and Syd's life away from misery, I treated them fairly and justly. Well, here's James...I did try to stop and cancel our engagement but DAMMIT! He just tricked me!
