Finally, the class is over! Freedom!

"Lady Rachel, I will walk with you towards your dorm." Lady Graciella said in confidence as she stood up and crossed her arms. Why did I get caught up with her again?

"Um...I promised Rosetta that I will accompany her later!" I blurted out. WE DID NOT MAKE A PROMISE!

But what can I do? I don't want to be acquaintanced with her! She will pull me towards my doom! I can't have that!

Graciella's eyebrow knitted together as she glanced at Rosetta behind me who was also, confused like her. I thought she will pull out a stunt like earlier but instead, this time, she looked at me as if she was looking for something and sighed in defeat.

"I see, then I will be on my way." She said, her voice was cold. Her once childish look gone. Her eyes look very different as she glanced at me one more time and walked away.

I heaved out a sigh of relief when the door softly closes in front of us. I was happy that I could no longer get bothered by her, but something seems off. Especially about her eyes earlier. It bothers me a lot.

"Lady Rachel?" A soft voice was heard behind me so I turned to see Rosetta, standing in front of me.

Crap, I made an excuse about her and now she's probably going to question me about it.

"Shall we head out now?" She asked with her signature smiling face. Such an angel, no wonder they will fall in love with her.

I nodded my head, completely oblivious as to why she didn't question my excuse for using her name earlier.

Sebastian also walked beside me as Rosetta followed behind. This tension... why does it feels like I'm letting Rosetta walk with me forcefully?

I awkwardly coughed and waited for Rosetta to catch up with me but instead, she stood 2 feet away from me with her head on the ground. Why does it look like I'm bullying her?

The other students that were passing by began to mutter something in their breaths as they passed by us.

"Rosetta, can you walk beside me? This is getting awkward" I asked her politely but she didn't budge. Her head still on the ground as she replied "That I can't, I don't have the right to walk beside you"

'Then what's the point of us walking together?' I mentally asked.

I grabbed her arm and lifted her face. I will try to befriend her, to the point that she will trust me, that way, maybe I will be freed from what doom I might stumble upon due to her decisions.

"You know, if you keep this up, everyone here might think that I bullied you" Her face immediately changes to shock as she turned her gaze from the students around us.

"I'm sorry Lady Rachel, I just--"

"That's fine, so... walk beside me, I will introduce you to my friends!" I said and offered her my hand. She looks hesitant to take it.

"It's okay, Lady Rachel might be noble but she treats everyone equally" Sebastian spoke up. Woah, he spoke up. I almost forgot about your existence.

Slowly she took my hand and smiled softly as she walked beside me.

The plan was to never get acquaintanced with her but, I guess fate has its own way. If I can't ignore her, I will try to help her. If she ever falls in love with one of the bachelors, I will gladly help her. Wouldn't that make her owe me?

Also, I have already befriended the other bachelors, I never had hurt them, but lowering my guard might give them an opening to strike me from the back.

I can't have that.

"Sister!" A familiar voice rang on the corridors.

"Syd!" I called out to him. He happily skipped toward me and asked me how did my class go. I just nodded my head as my response, "It went well,"

I and Syd are both in the first year but we were assigned to different classrooms. The reason is that one person was excelling in his academics and the other was failing. The latter being me.

Okay, Let me get this straight, I excel in academics! In my past life, I have good grades but in this world, there are lessons about magic and politics. God even though I knew about a little basic politics due to my father being the duke, I still think it's worse.

Math, well, I have it easy, It's like reviewing what I knew in my past life so I survived. The thing I failed was obviously Magic and History.

I mean, who likes history?! The past is the past! Live in the future, you people!

Who even wants to memorize every single date and year?!

Magic was...eh

The pure disappointment that Marlon felt when I still failed magic even though he, the best magic instructor already taught me about all the secrets and even trained me.

"S-Sebastian, Did sister cause any trouble?" Syd asked. Oi, I just answered you that it went well, Why do you have such low trust in me?

Sebastian actually had to be in the same grade as James and Leon, but due to my parents' orders, he had to look over me. Now he's in the same grade as me and the same classroom as mine.

I kinda feel bad for him. He is actually good at his academics...I just dragged him down hehe

"Barely," Sebastian shrugged. What do you mean barely?!

"Sister! You can't keep getting yourself into trouble! Father will get mad at you!" Syd said concernedly.

"But I did not! Geez," I gave up. I still think I did not gain their trust after these past years we've been together.

"Isn't this..." Syd trailed when he saw the familiar pink-haired girl beside me.

"R-rosetta Plattes, I'm really sorry if I bumped into you earlier!" She said as her voice quivered. Woah, she lost her composure that quickly?

"I-it's fine! Don't mind it" Syd said as he waved his hands in front of him.

Hmm?

"Right, I almost forgot. Sister,"

"What is it?"

"Prince James is waiting for you...he wants to talk with you over tea..." He said. Not that demon again.

"What does he want?" I asked defensively. I swear whenever I feel like I'm having a good time, he always pops up.
