Chapter 9

RPOV:

"Sydney?"

"Hey."

"What are you doing here?"

"I got assigned to Baia and I heard you were in town. What are you doing here?"

"I'm here visiting my boyfriend's family. Give me one sec. Stay here."

I quickly went back inside and practically drag Lissa out without saying anything. When she sees Sydney she hugs her to and I say,

"Okay. Um... Can you come back tomorrow? I'm explaining the whole spirit, shadow-kissed, and on the run thing tomorrow and then everyone can meet you. Sorry."

"Okay, sure."

"It's just that no one knows that I've killed more then I'm marked for."

"I totally get it, but are you going to tell tomorrow?"

"I mean, I kind of have to. They are going to ask why I had my own personal alchemist."

"Okay well, I'll come over tomorrow text me when. My number hasn't changed."

"Okay. We might meet at my father's house."

"Who is he?"

"Abe Mazur."

"Zmey?!"

"Yes. Now shh."

"Okay, okay. Bye see you tomorrow."

"Bye." Lissa and I both go back inside and I sit in Dimitri's lap.

"Who was it?" He whispers in my ear.

"You'll see tomorrow."

After that we finally eat dinner and then go to bed. Dimitri and I stay at the Belikov's house and we go up to his room. I has a queen bed with a blue and teal quilt. There is a desk and chair with pictures of Dimitri from when he was little. Of course there are also 2 shelves, one with westerns, and the other with his awful music. Then there was a chest of drawers and a closet. 

I put on one of his t-shirts, pulled back the covers, and climbed in. A couple seconds later I felt strong arms wrap around me.

"Roza?"

"Yes?" And I turn around in his embrace to face him. 

"Can I take you somewhere tomorrow?"

"Sure, but it has to be before lunch because after the rest of your family is going to be here and some other people."

"Okay."

"So... where are you taking me?"

"You'll see. It's somewhere very special to me."

"Okay." I cuddle into his chest. "I love you."

"I love you too, Roza. I love you too." And I drift to sleep. 

The Next Day:

Dimitri woke me up at 6 and with a pack bag and a picnic basket. He said I just had to get dressed and come with him. I changed into a sleeveless red crop top with ruffles and some black leggings. I also quickly put my her in a crown braid with most of my hair down. When I got downstairs Dimitri led me to the car without breakfast and said it was only 15 minutes away. !0 minutes later we got to a forest and I looked at Dimitri confused.

"Just follow me I know you will love it."

"Okay." I went to open my door and Dimitri yelled,

"No!" I stop where I am and turn to face him.
