Oh what a pain it was to have a gut feeling that someone liked you but couldn't prove it. The signs were all there, the constant gazing when he thinks you don't notice, the constantly telling Pansy or any of his other Slytherin friends to put a cork in it whenever they try to insult you in the slightest, the sometimes sitting next to you in Potions class because all the seats are "full" only for you to turn around and see a variety of open seats but keeping that to yourself. Those were a few of the many things Draco did for you which was completely out of character for someone with a stone-cold reputation like him.

He was known to care more about blood-status, houses and how one carries themselves than anything so what about you provoked him to drop that for you? You had never tried to associate yourself with him to save yourself the headache and trouble as much as possible but it seemed like that wouldn't even be necessary as he never picked on you. You two were in different houses as you were a Gryffindor and he was the Slytherin prince, not to mention you were a half-blood with your mom being a what they would call, muggle. Draco never had good things to say about half-bloods or muggles, seeing as he's called Hermione Granger a mud-blood on numerous occasions.

You had always pushed the thought of Draco's possible crush on you to the side, but the more you suppressed the thought, the stronger your own feelings for the platinum blond haired boy got. He was very attractive and even though he was an ass to others, you knew he was protective and would care for the ones he loved immensely like his mother. However with that being said, after potions class earlier in the day you just couldn't shrug the situation off any longer.

"Today we will be going over a few different potions, including the ingredients and how to tell them apart. Starting with the Alihotsy Draught. Does anyone know what it is made from? The name is a hint" Snape questioned, his tone in his signature cold and sharp manner.

"Yes (Y/l/n)?" Snape called on you as you were one of the few to raise a hand.

"It's derived from the Alihotsy plant or the Hyena Tree." You answered proudly as studying about potions had always been intriguing to you.

"And do you know what it does?" Snape egged on, crossing his arms as he stood against his desk.

"It's a laughing potion professor, the leaves from the plant can induce one into hysteria and uncontrollable laughter" Once you finished the explanation, your ears were caught on the snicker of someone behind you. You turned around to see Pansy scoffing and making fun of you but that was quickly halted as you saw Draco elbow her and give her a glare as to stop. Your eyes lingered on Parkinson a bit to see her joyful expression falter and then shifted your gaze onto Draco who had also done the same. A soft shade of pink rose to his cheeks as he looked away and back to Snape who continued explaining the possible side effects and antidote of the laughing potion.

You turned back around and looked down at your notes, a small smile creeping onto your cheeks as you replayed Draco putting a stop to Pansy's antics. It was in that moment you thought about everything else he's done around you or for you and realized it would be hard to negate his feelings. You just needed to figure out why and to what extent he liked you.

"Fred. George. I have a favor to ask without any judgment" You stated, sitting between the pair in the Gryffindor common room.

"Of course love, anything for our little sis" Fred replied, ruffling with your hair at the top of your head like he had always done. The twins looked to you for help with their pranks all the time and you three were practically inseparable which is why you trusted them so much to ask for help about the Draco situation unlike the golden trio who would've shot down that request immediately.
