A dear friend recently told me, "When blessings fail to come, remember the calling God gave you." He told me that both good and bad come from the Lord, so I should not quit. God has a good reason for everything He allows. On the other hand, I realized that when blessings come we should not forget our calling also. Otherwise, our blessings may become our curse - this happens when they become our priority. We must not forget that God blesses us not for our sake but for His sake.
He puts us in a position of influence so that we may represent Him before the people around us and so that He may attract them to Himself. We should enjoy our blessings but never forget that they were given so that we may live out our calling.
