Graduation. The day that almost every senior dreams about. It's the last day of ever worrying about high school and its also the day where you get to wear a cap and gown however, for Eva this day would be the most dreaded day of her life. Eva's flight is scheduled the day after graduation and she didn't want to go to her graduation. She figured if she never graduated she would not have to leave but, we all know Adah was not having that. Eva wore a plain black dress under her white gown and her hair fizzy and curly under her blue cap. She wore blue loafers and she didn't even bother to put on any makeup or any moisturizer on her face, basically, she was not excited at all about this day.

Leaving my home, leaving my friends, never being able to dance with the town people, and Carla were some of the thoughts replaying over and over again in Eva's mind. Eva sat in on the couch and stared into space as she thought.

"What you thinking about Eva?", Abel asked.

"Nothing at all little brother," Eva responded with a sigh.

"Do you really have to go to New York," Ahmed said as he leaned on her shoulder with his eyes full of tears.

"Give me a hug you two," she said as she stooped down and hugged her two brothers.

"Don't cry guys I'll be back before you guys know it," Eva said but, even she didn't know when she would be back much less see them again.

Adah walked into the room with her favorite dress on. It was a long elegant red dress that had a nice little slip but not passed the knee however her body did not serve her justice because it made it seem like it came up to her thigh, none the less she looked beautiful in it.

"Ok ok come on we need to get to the school, you can't be late to your own graduation," Adah said rushing them to go towards the door. They made their way through the door and got in the car.

Eva loved the car. It was the only thing that brought joy to her day so far. The Audi SUV is turquoise which is her favorite color and the seats had an extra cushion and could recline which made it more comfortable for her. As they drove toward the school, Eva gazed out the window at the town center. All the dance battles, funny moments, and loving town people... Gone in a blink of an eye.

Eva approached her school and was rushed by some of the lower school dance students. When Eva had spare time she would teach the younger grade students dance routines. They loved Eva because Eva was the only person that did Hip-Hop, while their other dance instructor never allowed them to dance to anything but ballet.

"We're gonna miss you, Eva," they all said as they hooked around her legs.

Adah had tears come to her eyes but they were quickly wiped before Eva could turn and look at her. Adah was also sad that Eva had to leave but she thought it was the best thing for her.

The graduation process took long but eventually, they got to the distributions of the diplomas.

EVA SANCHEZ!!!!!

The crowd roared as friends and even staff members clapped and cheered for her. Adah screamed like it was the last time she would ever get to scream while Abel and Ahmed went the unprofessional route by dog barking while she walked the stage. It didn't matter because Eva finally graduated.

Eva returned to her seat when her mom who had her eyes full of tears and said, "Your father would be so proud of you and I know he is above watching down on you right now."

Eva was lost for words because she never saw her mother cry. Adah portrayed that she was always tough and never let anything bother her but seeing her firstborn graduate is something that she could hold in emotions for.
