3 years passed and you guys finally decided to get married. The wedding was beautiful yet simple. Of course, it took place in the winter. But you wouldn't have it any other way.
It was elegant, and you felt beautiful on your day.
Rangiku tried to get you to drink a little all day, but you.... just couldn't.
After the wedding, a party took place back at home before you guys decided to pack it up for your honeymoon. You changed into something more comfy and tried to prepare excuses for why you couldn't drink.
It was a lot harder then you thought. Rangiku and Yumichika both kept trying, especially after the wedding. Ikkaku was the only one who smirked and seemed to understand what you were getting at.
Yumichika was annoyed by this and didn't understand. He thought you and Ikkaku were keeping a secret from him. Being that Ikkaku was his best friend, this really upset him.
"Come on. This isn't funny !" He pouted and his cheeks turned red.
"You're not being fun since you won't drink with us!" Rangiku sneered this.
They were yelling and some people around you noticed. It was starting to upset you. (Hormones...!)
"I am not aloud to drink... " you whispered as you held you hand on your tummy.
It went right over Rangiku's head. Yumichika seemed to have a lightbulb glowing on his head. He looked from your tummy, to you, to Ikkaku , and finally to Rangiku with a look of stupor.
"What?" Rangiku seemed very confused and almost irritated. She took a swig of her sake.
"I cannot drink... for 5 and a half more months.." you said louder.
Rangiku spit her sake out and lit up like a Christmas tree.
"REALLY!? Is my BEST FRIEND pregnant!!!" She was squealing with joy as she ran over and placed a hand on your tummy. You barely had a bump. Out of the corner of your eye you could see a Tōshirō smiling while watching from across the room. Rangiku really was that loud.
"I'm so glad you're pregnant again." Yumichika said this without hesitation. The word again stung you like a bee. Tears welled up in your eye, both of happiness and a little sadness too. Yumichika came over and hugged you.
"Congratulations." Ikkaku smirked and noted but kept his distance.
For the first time in a long while, you felt content and even... excited. For the future, for your kid, for your marriage... things were on track and you n
ever expected this.
