Chapter 2

I look at my fellow campers. My half siblings to be exact. I hate being Aphrodite. I'm expected to be all girly and stuff. Gag! I don't like to be looked on as weak and helpless. I want people to look at me like I'm strong and capable. I hate guys eyeing me. I already have a boyfriend! Sure, I don't remember a lot about him but I remember loving him! Geesh! I huff and cross my arms as the girls start doing make overs. I seriously think Piper and I are the only sane girls in this cabin. "Sorry Piper to leave you only with these girls but I can't stand it anymore." I whisper to her and get up. "I'm leaving too. I think I'm gonna go see Superman." she jokes. I know she's talking about Jason. We walk out and she heads to Zeus' cabin and I go to the lake. I start down the path and hear Nico arguing with someone. I hide behind a tree. "Explain to me Jackson how it's fair you're a hero! I don't understand that?!" Nico growls angrily at Percy. "I saved Olympus?" Percy says with a shrug. "How are you a hero when you couldn't even save Bianca?! How Jackson?! How?!" he growls fuming. "I tried-" Percy starts before being cut off. "That's the problem, you tried and didn't do. You end up being a hero while I have to live without a sister who was my one and only friend! You could've saved her yet she died. You promised me you'd protect her. I thought you were a man of your word Jackson." Nico hisses. What brought this on from Nico? "Why are you so upset Nico about this now? This happened years ago." Percy says as if reading my mind. "You also said you'd protect my girlfriend in battle and she got stuck in a coma and lost her memory. But you STILL get called a hero! I thought I lost her Jackson! All because you couldn't keep another promise! I get to live a crappy life where most of the people I love leave me and you get the glorious life of a hero with you're fiance Annabeth! How on Earth is that fair?! Because of you're actions I lost my sister, my boyfriend dumped me, AND my girlfriend lost her memory and got stuck in a coma! Perseus Jackson does NOT deserve to be called a hero." he growls. Percy looks scared as Nico dark aroma spreads and becomes even darker. "I thought she was getting it back?" Percy questions. "It's not the same. She doesn't remember me a lot. All the things we did together wiped clean from her memory. I lover her Percy! You let this happen AGAIN!" he shoots. I run to Nico and hug him tightly crying into his shoulder. "Nico, please, you're scaring me." I beg crying into his shoulder. He doesn't respond or move. I hug him tighter and kiss his cheek. "I love you Nico." I whisper in his ear. Still no response. This hurts. I start to pull away and run tears running down my face. I don't know exactly why I'm crying but I guess it's because I feel his pain and it hurts. I run to the forest to the stream and sit down on my knees and cry into my hands. "(Y/N)!" I hear Nico call. I gasp and hide behind a tree quickly. I don't want to talk to anyone right now. Nico runs to the stream and I stare at him from around the tree. He looks into the stream. "(Y/N), what did I do?" he asks himself and falls to his knees. He starts singing All of Me. At the end he chokes up and I rush to him hugging him from behind. He turns around to face me and hugs me tightly. "Why didn't you tell me about your ex-boyfriend?" I ask. "Because I had you and he didn't matter anymore." he tells me holding me close. I don't release him. "Who was it?" I ask curiously. "Will Solace." he mutters in my ear. "Why'd he break up with you?" I press. "Because Percy told him he saw me with another girl but we were hanging out and Will got extremely jealous and angry and dumped me without giving me a chance to explain." Nico whispers. "How did Percy not protect me?" I ask. "He left you to fend for yourself in a battle to help his girlfriend who was doing fine. I felt you get injured and rushed to your rescue killing anything within a yard radius of you." Nico admits sheepishly. I kiss his cheek. "Thank you." I whisper in his ear. "It doesn't matter because you were bonked on the head and hurt pretty badly." Nico says ruefully. I chuckle and kiss his nose. "I'm alive though so I guess it's okay." I tease. He smiles lightly at my comment and kisses me. "I love you." he whispers into my collarbone. "I love you too." I whisper in his neck. We kiss passionately like there was no tomorrow.
