Chapter 7

I soar through the air laughing. I kick my feet and smile. I don't know what I was so afraid of. I grew who knows how many feet. Maybe ten feet. My wings are huge. I'm goldne and scally. My eyes are silver. My tail is amazing and long. I feel so strong. I feel like I could take on a cyclopse. I soar over Camp Half-Blood. I stay high enough that they can't see me. I look at the lake and dive into it causing a big splash. I dive deep. I catch fish and soar back up the wind drying my clothes and body rapidly. My hair is golden and flows freely behind me. It's to my feet now! I swoop down to the forest. "(Y/N)!" I hear Nico call for me. I snap my head around and squint. I see Nico in the distance calling my name and running in my direction. Just then like bad timing the sun shines on me making me shine. Nico runs to me and looks up into my eyes. His eyes are huge. "What are you?!" he exclaims. I cringe. I knew this would happen. "You're a monster! A monster!" he yells and backs up. I stare at him and start bretaging heavily. "Help! Guys, there some new monster and it broke through the barrier!" he calls. Of course he brought backup. "What have you done with my girlfriend?!" he demands. I back up slowly. The trees are barely taller than I am. Tears roll down my face. I flap my wings and soar through the air. I got to get far away from here. I soar through the air. "Goodbye Nico." I whisper.

I look where the monster flew away. Leo and the rest of the seven including Calypso run behind me. "You're too late. It was a dragon in a form as a girl but taller." I describe. Leo's eyes go wide. "You bucket brain." he says coming up to me. I look at him confused. "She's a Drean." he says rolling his eyes. Everyone else's eyes go wide as they look at each other. "So? What's a Drean?" I ask. "A Drean is a rare Aphrodite child that turns into a dragon at a certain age but keeps the human form." he explains as if I'm a child. "So?" I ask. He sighs and rolls his eyes. "That dragon you saw was your girlfriend."
