Finally Free

Wayne Manor

Marinette's POV

It abouf 15 minutes from my apartment complex to the Wayne Manor. I had let Tikki and Kaalki roam about Damien's car. They were playing hide n seek but I had to stop since we were here. Before I could even hold on to the door handle Damian opened the door for me.

I took a look at Wayne Manor and it was 4x times the size of the Agrestes. I got lost while I was tutoring from Gabriel himself. Damn, this looks like a maze. A butler was greeting us at the front door.

"Angel, this is Alfred Pennyworth. He is the only one allowed in kitchen and does the housework when we're busy. He's also the one who took care of Father."

"Good evening, Miss Dupain-Cheng. I hope dinner would be satisfactory for you."

"Bonjour and please Monsieur, call me Marinette. Everyone does."

"Of course Miss Marinette." I almost completely forgot about the pastries. "Oh and here, a gift of gratitude for inviting me to dinner. Damien said that his older brother enjoys coffee so this is still unfiltered and my own twist to it. There are also vegan cookies and cupcakes for everyone to enjoy, as well as Damian."

"Thank you for this, Miss Marinette. Please step inside so you could meet the rest of the family."

Alfred had opened the door for us and Damien let me enter first. The first thing that had greeted me was a grandfather clock and a family portrait. "It seems that looks are very present in the family." I turned to Damian  and he gave me a shy glance. Alfred  us to the living room and his oldest brother and father was waiting for us.

"You must be Marinette. Pleasure to meet you, my name's Richard Grayson but please call me Dick. Everybody does. This si our father and head of the family."

"Bruce Wayne. Pleasure to meet you as well, Miss Dupain-Cheng." I can see where Damian had gotten his features and attitude from. Even though Dick was adopted he had a few faetures similar to Mr. Wayne.

"Marinette Dupain-Cheng, please Monsier, you can call me Marinette . The pleasure is all mine, Monsieur." I hope this dinner would be successful. I wanna have atleast a shot at being with Damian. Damian's dad spoke to Alfred.

"Alfred, please call on to the others that our guest is here. Wouldn't want to be late. Now, Miss Marinette, I hope that you are ready. The others are looking forward to bombard you with questions." Okay that's kind of worrying. Did Damian's brothers disagree to us dating. Anxious thoughts were flooding my mind and making me zone out.

" Angel, are you alright? Is something the matter? " I snapped out my thoughts when I heard Damian's worried voice. I guess I kinda overhyped myself about meeting his family.

"Uhh I'm—"

"Alfred what's for dinner?!?!?"  the voice rang thoughout the halls of the mansion. It was a bit deep and I felt Tikki wiggle around my jacket. She must've sensed something.

"Master Jason, please refrain from shouting. As you have been informed our guest is here."

A man with a white streak on his hair and caucasian sea blue eyes wearing ripped jeans, a shirt and a leather jacket. He had a mischievous aura around him.

"Hey, You must be the honored guest that took capture of Demon spawn's frozen cold heart. I'm Jason Todd, second eldest son of the family."  He had reached his hand out, to which I took. I felt a whole lot of creation and destruction just from a touch alone.

" The Lazarus pit."He went stiff with what I had said." Marinette Dupain-Cheng, nice to meet you. This is the second time i've met someone who used the pit. In one family as well." Everyone had a dark look in their faces.  Seems like I touched a sensitive topic.
