"You and Hermes seem a little close," Artemis furrowed her eyebrows as she watched Auna cover her body with her hands. Artemis had to pick up Auna from his place after she refused Apollo's ride.

"You look really beautiful," Persephone smiled at the insecure girl. Auna wouldn't admit it, but she definitely didn't like how the dress fit her. The sleek black dress that traveled to her ankles had two splits on each side of her waist.

Her golden, luxurious fur coat covered the stretch marks on her arm. The platform heels made her taller than most, she barely even wore heels. "Hermes is my best-friend and thank you, Persie." She turned around, shuddering a bit.

"Artemis I really don't think going to this party is a good idea," the slight tone of sadness could be heard in Auna's voice. Artemis huffed in annoyance; it's not like Auna had any choice. Hera made it known that she had to be there, even Hestia wanted her there.

"I've never been to a party...with a lot of people." It was true. Zeus kept Auna locked up in her room when he held events like that which is why Hebe, Ares, and Hermes kept her company. "I know that I seem...out going and stuff but events like this. I'm just not really good with this."

"Well Hera would understand if you didn't go right? If you don't I'll stay here with you," Persephone sat next to Auna, placing her hand on top of Auna's. Whatever the reason is on why she didn't want to go, Persephone supported it. She shouldn't feel so uncomfortable at a party held by her own father.

"I'll go," Auna gulped, grabbing her wallet, leaving her phone to charge on the charger.

"That's the spirit!"

And here she was. Stuck at the bar, alone. After meeting with her mother and father, often biting her tongue as she respectfully let them speak. Even though they scolded her for not checking in.

The loud music, the chatter, the drunks, the smell of smoke. Auna absolutely hated it.

Swiveling on the bar stool she pretended to act like she was waiting for someone.

Hermes probably forgot all about me. Maybe I got my hopes up for nothing.

"Hey!" She felt the presence of someone filling up the empty seat to the left of her. Quickly side eyeing him, she fiddled with her necklace. Everything about this party felt off, Everything about Apollo felt off to her. She couldn't read his intentions.

"Have you seen Hermes?" She leaned a bit, trying to see if he could be behind him.

"He told me to check on you, he had to deliver more letters. I'm sure he'll be here soon." She nodded, tapping her fingers against the marble counter. Turning away from Apollo, she rested her head against the counter.

"You don't like me at all? Do you?"

"...Something about you is off. I can't place my finger on it but Persephone acts weirdly around you."

"Our relationship...it didn't work out, I just hope that doesn't affect our friendship—"

"Friendship? I'm not your friend," Auna scoffed, "I barely even know you, Apollo." A draft of cold air hit the back of her neck as she turned around again, seeing Hermes, clenching his jaw.

"Hey, doll," Hermes spoke, his raspy voice sending pleasant chills down her spine.  His gloved hands, running through his hair. He seemed beyond annoyed, beyond pissed off.  "Hope I'm not interrupting something," he placed his hands on her shoulders, his eyes now golden.
