Flashback

"You're happier than usual Bunny," Zeus held the door for his wife, seeing Auna walk in behind the couple. "And my little dumpling, where were you?"

"Ares and I were playing a game of Mafia but he kept killing me off," Auna frowned, grabbing her fathers hand. "Can we go to the park again today? Or will the pretty girl take me again?"

"Pretty girl?" Hera's eyes lowered to her daughter then at Zeus who had sweat dropping from his forehead, "what did she look like Auna?"

"She has long blue hair and big duck lips! I think her name is...umm, Therma?"

"Thetis," Zeus corrected the young Auna, wanting her to stop her constant talking. "She's my personal secretary, remember Bunny?" He tried raising his tone and showing hints of anger but he couldn't. It was almost like he was restricted from lashing out.

"I know, I'm a crappy husband but, I had work to attend to so I had Thetis take her to the park instead, didn't you have fun?" He smiled, looking at Auna who held a boring expression on her face.

"No, she sat on the phone and started yelling bad words and laughing."

"You introduced our daughter to one of your mistresses!" Hera pulled Auna behind her, protecting her from Zeus's soon to be rage but his rage never came. As much as he wanted to argue back and talk back to Hera he couldn't.

Not with Auna around, she suppressed his emotions.

He didn't like that one bit. He'd often tell her to stop, he'd even try to help her control them but it was difficult. He didn't want her feeling in control, he didn't want her to know that she could control the King if she wanted to.

So, he made the perfect solution. He locked her away. Letting her out and around the palace when there weren't many present.

He wanted her to feel some sort of agony, not only her but it was directed to Hera. After all, that wasn't even his daughter.

It seemed as if time had stopped, standing still. The water barely flowed, the pond had little to no animal life. The thick berry bushes and fruit trees surrounded this small area of a forrest.

Auna found herself here, sitting on a tree stomp. Loudly singing her forbidden music. A tune that slightly hinted at a tone from the Caribbean, a place in the mortal world that she visited for vacation with Poseidon and her other family members.

"Tell me what I did this time

Why is it I work so hard for you?

I wish I could read your mind."

Perched upon the hedge of a bush, Apollo continued to listen to the girl sing. Infatuated by the girls tune he began to play his Lyre. His instrument and her voice musing together.

"I don't know if you want me to come over."

Her eyes flashed with a hint of fire as her hair, jet black in color, fell almost to her ankles. Her eyes flicked up to his location as she immediately stopped singing.

"Apollo?" Her voice sounded so enticing to him, so welcoming. He couldn't help but wonder if Hermes truly wanted her and if so, why couldn't he share. Apollo stood up, smoothing out his clothing with an awkward laugh.

"Funny seeing you here," his eyes began to glow in a golden color as he put his hands in his pockets, walking towards the girl. She didn't move, although she felt a bit scared of his presence. "Um, are you okay?"

"How'd you know that song? There's no way you could possibly..." she continued to sit on the stomp, wondering what he wanted, "can you leave? I need time to think."

"Hera sent me," he walked towards the girl, bending down to her level, "I know that you're worried about Hermes and he told me to tell you that he's okay," his golden eyes continued to shine, filled with deceit. "He couldn't break it to you but I figured I could."

"What are you talking about?" She tried backing away but his hands pulled hers closer, "Hermes would tell me things his self, he trusts me."

"Hermes doesn't trust anyone," he began to caress her cheek, Auna flinched at his touch. Soon slowing her breathing, "Whatever lies he told you Auna, you have to stop believing, you're gullible."

"No," she held her tears back, trying to turn her head away from his calming gaze but she couldn't. "I'm not gullible, Apollo, I'm far from that."

"He still talks to Aphrodite."

"No he—"

"He only wants you for sex Auna, can't you see? I'm trying to protect you?"

"Don't you get it?! He doesn't care about anyone but himself, he's selfish. He's unreliable, if you called him, he wouldn't answer."

"Don't act like you can't see it, he only hangs out with you alone. He doesn't show you off, he doesn't value you."

"No one does," she lowly responded, wrapping her arms around him, "no one listens to me, no one cares!" She continued to weep, waterfalls flowing from her eyes. "I always have to put on some tough act to protect myself like I did with you but honestly, I'm only hurting myself."

"Auna, I would never hurt you," his hand wrapped around her chin, slowly closing the gap that remained between them with their lips. Their lips moving in sync with each other, a part of Auna wanted to move away from him but that part of her that felt:

Betrayed.

Heartbroken.

And alone wanted to stay close to someone, and that someone ended up being him.

His hands lightly trailed down her body onto her hips where he lifted her off of the tree stomp and into the bed of flowers.

"Apollo?" She lightly pushed against him but he didn't budge, his eyes now golden again. His eyes filled once again with lust. She instinctively tried pushing him again but melted into the kiss he placed upon her lips.

"I'm not supposed to—supposed to," she struggled with her words as his lips worked their way onto the crook of her neck.

"From the first time I laid eyes on you," he murmured as he licked his lips, "I knew you had to be mine, Auna." He began to kiss her in a softer manner, lifting up part of her dress as his fingers began to travel up her thigh.

"Apollo I don't think I'm ready?" She pulled away, seeing that he was also in a confused state.

"Don't chicken out Auna. Come on." He continued to gaze down at the girl who's heartbeat continued to speed up with every passing second.

"I'm not scared—I?"

"There's nothing to be scared of," he reassured her as his hands started to travel to a place she could never imagine. "I'll handle you with care."

"Auna," Hera mumbled her daughters name repeatedly. Tears rushing down her cheeks as she forced the book close that she held.

"Please be safe my little dove."
