Chapter 9 - 'Broke'

[Friday / Author's Pov]
Lia walks inside the store and finds Y/N sitting by himself at the table, she stops walking towards him when she sees a group of girls walk up to him. She watches them as they talk to Y/N, after the group of girls walk away from Y/N, Lia walks up to Y/N

"Hey, Lia?!" Y/N says somewhat surprised at Lia's appearance, however, Lia doesn't say anything and stares directly at him. Y/N gives Lia a confused look, Lia points at the table where the card the group of girls gave him

"What's that?" Y/N flinched at her question and quickly hid the card behind his back pocket

"Nothing," Y/N responds almost immediately after he hid the card, however, Lia doesn't take Y/N's response. Lia walks closer to him and leans inwards Y/N trying to take the card but accidentally pouches Y/N backwards making him fall onto the seats. Y/N grabs Lia's arm and pulls her into him as she falls on top of Y/N, redness fills Lia's face and she quickly gets off of him.

Lia looks around the restaurant and opens her throat "So.. umm... what do you want to eat?"

"I already pre-ordered the food so don't worry about that"

They finish eating and Lia asks Y/N if he has any plans during the evening today. "I'm pretty sure I'm free" Y/N responds "Why?"

"Oh, I was wondering if we could go to the mall later together-" Y/N opens his phone and reads the message Daniel sent him

Daniel: "Jungkook and I are going out this evening, you coming as well" Y/N messages him back

Y/N: "What if I don't want to go"

Daniel: "Well you don't have a choice"

Y/N sighs "Actually, I think I'll be busy tonight... can you go right now?"

"Sure"

They walked around the mall until they came across a small Starbucks store, Y/N asked Lia if she wanted to have a drink, and she agreed. Y/N went up to buy a drink but a group of girls (different girls from earlier) came up to Y/N and started asking for his number/Snapchat. Lia obviously watching from afar was very disturbed by this and couldn't bear to see more so she walked up to Y/N and wrapped her arms around his waist. "Sorry girls, he's taken," She said with a smirk. The group of girls left him in a hurry and Y/N glared at Lia. "What?" She questioned, but Y/N never responded to that question and proceeded to buy a drink.

After they bought their drink they continued walking around, Y/N had to go to the bathroom so he quickly left. As he was gone, Lia on the other hand was looking at purses/handbags, it was obvious she wanted one, she asked the employee the price "$19" She checked her wallet and found paper that smelled like honey. A guy came up to her "Do you want this?" The guy pointed at the purse 

"I-I-IYes-" She nervously responded- Before Y/N covered her mouth

"Sorry bro, She's taken," He said with a smirk on his face. The guy laughed sarcastically and left. "You were 100% falling for him," Y/N said to Lia after he left

"Iwasnot"

"Mhm, Anyways I'll buy you that" He picked up the purse and gave it to Lia. He received a notification after he bought the bag, he tapped on the notification and showed him a mini bank balance

Y/N sighed looking at the balance since he basically didn't have any money left, he looked up and saw that Lia was looking at his face looking confused. "Why did you sigh? Is it because of this?" She pointed to the purse Y/N bought for her.

"Nononono, it's about something else. You don't need to know" Y/N had mixed feelings since he didn't feel so great about not having any money but happy seeing how happy Lia was with the new purse.

Y/N waved at Lia as she walked off the bus, he waited in the bus until the bus came to his stop. Y/N walked up to his doorstep and pulled his pockets in and out, looking for his key. Y/N sighed, he walked knocked on the door hoping that either Daniel or Jungkook would still be home. 

He kept knocking on the door for a good minute until he figured that they already left the house, he walked around the house and climbed the side of the house and walked in through his window. He walked to his living room and found a note stuck onto it "I thought you would come early, we waited for 5 minutes but you didn't come so we left. We're at the xxxx party, we'll call you to pick up us"

"F**king idiots"

Few hours went by and Y/N's phone has remained silent the whole time, Y/N looked at the clock '11:17', he opened his phone and dialled Daniel's number. He called both, Daniel and Jungkook multiple times however they both were yet to answer the call. 

 He took a taxi to the party where they were staying, he walked in and looked around for Daniel and Jungkook. He went upstairs where there were private rooms, he walked past one of the open doors and stopped walking. He turned his head towards the left and saw a guy and a girl making out with each other, Y/N felt something was off and walked towards the guy. The guy stopped kissing the girl and looked over at Y/N, Y/N's eyes were wide open "********?!"
