Riley's P.O.V.
I am at the mall with Emily buying things I necessarily don't need. I could be home relaxing right now instead of walking up and down all about the place .So I'm curious to why I'm here.
"Emily what exactly am I doing here?"I asks. She turned to look at me with a priceless expression has if she wasn't expecting that question.
"Uh look at this can totally match that green dress in your wardrobe ."she says
"Emily your changing the topic and I don't have a green dress." Or do I?
"Okay. I only take you here because-"she was cut off by the ringing of her phone.
"Hello"
There's a pause
"Yeah that's me "
There's a pause
"What the ...?how? Who ..? Where? "
A pause
"Okay, we'll be there"
She hung up and she had terrified look. What the hell could have happen right when I was about to get my answer.
"Riley, c'mon.Lets go "
"Where are we going Em? "I asks
She started crying .Whats wrong?
"Emily? Whats wrong your scaring me ."
"Kyle and Shane ;they are in the hospital Riley"
Huh? In the ..... .omg .!That took a while to process in my brain. I froze
"What.....?"I asks
"C'mon we're going to the hospital right now."
"Okay I'm coming behind you ."I say but I couldn't get my foot to move. Almost like I'm rooted to the ground.
"Riley c'mon .Riley you gotta damn it"Emily shouted
"Okay. I'm coming for real now."
I hadn't notice I was crying until I tasted salty water in my mouth.
Why am I so bad lucked .I was sad before and found happiness and now its all sad again. Life. Nothing's fair about it .What if they both die ? I can't live without them .I can't live without the one I love.
I need to start think positive there are okay.Right?

(At the hospital)
"So what happened?"Emily asks the doctor
"Good evening young miss. Well those two young men were driving when a truck hit their car. One of them was hit directly by the truck the other had a broken leg. The other one he's well...."the doctor trailed off .
"He's what? "I asks annoyed
"He's in a coma "
I started crying once again .
"So can we see them .?" I asks
"Yes room 12 "
"Okay ".
I walked actually run to room 12.I slowed down so Emily could catch up with me .We both walked in the room together. My breath caught in my throat has I saw kyle seated on a chair beside Shane whose lying on a bed has if he's sleeping .So Shane's the one in a coma.
Emily ina hugging her brother has they finished.I walked to where Kyle was seated and hugged Emily .They were saying something to me but I blocked them out. I felt someone shaking me .
"Riley please listen to me."Kyle says
"He's gonna be okay. He's a fighter, he'll pull through "Emily reassured me .
"Riley you listening?"Kyle asks
"Why him? How? ".I asks
"I don't know .The truck came out of no where and I hit the car. I'm so sorry .We shouldn't have trued to separate you to ".Kyle stated.
"What'd you mean ?" I asks
"We decided you both needed to go out .So. I took Shane to the game and Emily took you shopping"he finishes.
"Okay.".
"So your not upset ?" He asks .But I am I really. ?
"No I'm not. Actually I don't know."
"I'm sorry its my fault. "
"No no its not you fault okay don't blame yourself. Okay?"
I turn and walked out .I need to clear my mind.
