Chap 13 - The only rule

Taehyung p.o.v.

We hugged for what seemed like a second but actually it was a good minute. What can I say, I would stay like this for the whole entire night and not complain. She slowly broke the hug and covered her cheeks embarrassed. Her little rosy nose and teary eyes melted my heart. I didn't realize I was staring at her until I heard her sweet voice again.

"Hey, Um..." she gulped nervously. "I'm Y/N nice to meet you Taehyung" a soft smile appeared on her face making me and my wolf go crazy.

I was smiling like an idiot but managed to answer her. "Nice to meet you" I softly said.

"You were in my painting class right? I remember you coming in with your girlfriend. Is she alright?" She said while looking a little sad

"Oh um, Lia is fine but she is not- um, we are not- uh" what the hell, why am I stuttering

"Sorry I shouldn't have asked about your personal relationship I apologize haha" she cut me off . "I guess I will see you around, thank you for what you did today. I'm not the best sister but the thought of Beomgyu being hurt kills me. If you ever need something just let me know and I will help you. I don't know how I can repay you Taehyung... I really am-" I cut her off by giving her another hug. I could feel more tears running down her cheeks

"It's ok. I'm always a softie for people in danger. I'm glad he is ok. And yes, hopefully I will see you around" I said trying to comfort her and breaking the hug.

She smiled at me and nodded. "Hey um, since you are new and stuff you can hangout with me and Yoongi. He is my friend. The guy that was sitting next to me in class. I'm just saying since you are new to the class and stuff. Your girlfriend can come too..." she said the last part quietly

Wait... is she jeal- Nah no way...

"We would love to- we are actually new to this university, we transferred from Woodside College" I explained

"Woodside college? Isn't that like deep into the forest? I thought that college was shut down" she said trying to not sound offensive

I chuckled.

If you only knew that I traveled each day back and forth to see you

"Yeah that's why we didn't like it, the classes were pretty lonely" I said to her while walking downstairs

She just nodded and followed me behind

"Remember his medication and I hope he wakes up soon" I said giving her a smile

"How much money do I owe you? I will tell Jin to transfer it to you. At the end of the day, my brother had an intense surgery"

"Don't worry, let's just say the doctor is a friend of mine" I sighed "no need to pay"

Before she could protest I ran outside and rapidly got into my car. My smile was so big, for the first time in my life I felt pure happiness. I don't know when I got this sudden confidence.

"YAHHHHHH COME BACK I NEED TO PAY!! YAH TAEHYUNG NO WAY, TAEHYUNGGG"
She screamed while trying not to smile

I just pulled my car window down and stuck my tongue out playfully. She couldn't hold it in and finally laughed. I started my car and drove out of the mansion gates. I could see her rolling her eyes which only made me laugh even more.

"AND LIA IS NOT MY GIRLFRIENDDDDD"
I screamed as loud as I could

Next day - Yeonjun P.O.V.

As a beta of the pack, is my job to make sure things are running smoothly. Today, a new generation of kids turned 13 which means they can start to have jobs in the pack. These jobs are distributed based on their abilities and talents so when they are of age, they can have an official position in the pack.

I felt like a tour guide showing everyone around the facilities and places. I wasn't in the best mood because of Beomgyu but I had to separate my duty from my feelings.

I hope he is okay...

I cleared my throat getting the newbies' attention and started talking

"Okay everyone first of all congratulations for getting one step closer to reaching your true positions. As you all may know, today I will walk you through the rules. You all saw the general facilities already but now it's time to show you the main three categories:
First, Warriors
Second, Strategy
and third, Health"

Everyone nodded and listened attentively.

"Let's go" I said while the group followed me.
"First we have the Health facility. If you are part of this place you are meant to be a caretaker for the puppies, a teacher, nurse, or a doctor. This is extremely important because a strong pack is a healthy pack. Understand?"

"Yes sir" all the kids said

"Ok in this facility we have... Mariana, Momo, Isabel, Edie, Luis, and Jennie" I said while reading the list of names. "Please go inside and Doctor Jihyo will explain your job"

The kids that were mentioned bowed and walked inside the health department. I nodded and fixed my gaze on the remaining group.

"Let's keep moving, everyone follow me to the next facility" I said

"This is the Warriors facility. If you are part of this category you are a hunter, a fighter, a trainer, or a weapon maker. This is extremely important because you are the ones keeping this pack safe. Understand?"

"Yes sir" the group said

"Ok Soobin, Mark, Elena, Maria, Carlos, Youngbin, and Taylor please go inside"

The kids who were mentioned bowed and walked towards the facility. Head hunter, Jungkook, greeted them and followed them inside.

I waited for them to go in and turned my attention to the remaining team once again.

"And you all, are part of the third group. The Strategy team, please follow me" I said while walking.

Once we got to the building I looked at the group and spoke softly.

"This group is important because you are either a tracker, a hacker, a mathematician, a scientist, or an inventor" I sighed "before you all go inside you need to know one rule. This is the only rule around here ok?" Everyone nodded. "The head scientist is a mother of age. But NEVER dare to ask where are her kids. To give you the answer..."

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

"One passed away and well, the other one... disappeared"

Everyone gasped "excuse me, excuse me beta Yeonjun!" Jake said. "Is this the famous puppy that disappeared in the war 10 years ago?"

I just sighed and nodded while everyone else was shocked.

"So the mother is the famous scientist that saved our pack but couldn't save her kid-" Jake continued

"ENOUGH!" I said frustrated "just follow the damn rule and go inside"

"Is alright Yeonjunie" that sweet but sad voice replied. I flinched and looked at the direction of the voice.

"Mrs. Min!" I said shocked "I apologize in behalf of these kids. I will make sure they don't mention anything inappropriate again-" I said while bowing at her

The kids followed me and bowed. They were embarrassed.

Mrs. Min gave them a caring smile and signaled them to follow her inside. She looked at me and smiled one more time. "Is okay, it has been a while now. You can tell new generations that both of my boys passed away." She said while slowly walking inside and closing the door.

But I could tell she was lying. I could feel her having hope of her second son being alive.
I knew for a fact she would never give up that slightest bit of hope until the day she is no longer with us.
