The Trickster (Haikyuu x male)

Chapter 1

Art belongs to it's creator. It's Ren Daichi! The small, quiet, baby bean of Karasuno.

"You little twat!" Daichi cursed as he sprung up from his bed. Ren smiled at his adopted brother as he held a small cup. "Why the hell would you wake me up like this?!" Daichi asked as he gestured to his face that was still dripping with cold water.

"You wouldn't wake up when your alarm and I asked." Ren told him. "I don't want to be late for school." He took a drink from the half filled glass in his hand as his brother processed the words.

Daichi cursed his realization and Ren quietly exited the room so he could get ready. He went to the kitchen and sat down with the rest of the family to eat. After a couple of minutes, Daichi ran in, grabbed some toast, and dragged Ren to the front door.

"Bye!" Daichi yelled after he got his shoes on.

"Bye-bye." Ren said calmly as he followed his brother's example. They both walked to school and Daichi immediately went on the search for his friends, Ren following behind him like a lost puppy.

"Hey, Daichi!" Sugawara called out.

"What'd up?!" Tanaka yelled.

The senior's met up and began to talk. "Hey, Ren-kun." Sugawara greeted. Ren waved shyly at sliverette from behind his brother.

"How you doin, Tiny?" Tanaka asked. Ren's face morphed into a small pout which made the three of them laugh. They always like to tease Ren about his height since he was only 153 cm (5ft).

"Hello." A polite voice greeted. They all turned to look and see their manager, Kiyoko.

"Kiyoko-chan!" Tanaka squealed.

Kiyoko ignored him and showed them a small stack of papers. "Here... These are all the current applicants." She explained

Daichi grabbed the papers and looked at them. "Thanks. Wow, that's not very many. Didn't we use to get more of these?" He asked with disappointment.

"I'm sure we'll get more, Daichi." Sugawara reassured. 

"Your looking radiant today, Kiyoko!" Tanka blurted out. Kiyoko gave Ren a small smiled before she turned and left. "Gah... I love when she ignores me." He shivered. They all began to head towards the gym as Ren looked over the applicants name.

He tugged on Daichi's sleeve to get his attention. "Hm? What is it, Ren?" Daichi asked. Ren responded by pointing out of the names. Daichi looked at the name that was pointed out and gave a small noise of surprise. "Tobio Kageyama?!"

"Kageyama? Isn't that the prodigy from Kitagawa Daiichi, The King of the Court?" Sugawara asked. Tanaka grunted.

"It is." Daichi answered and let out a short laugh. "Who knew the setter from Kitagawa First would end up at our school?"

"He better not be too cocky. Or I'll have to pound him one." Tanaka threatened.

"Give it a rest. Tanaka..." Sugawara told him. "You don't have to threaten everybody."

"What are you gonna do about it, huh? Yeah, that's what I thought." He growled as they entered the gym and saw that two first years were waiting.

"Uh... Hello." Kageyama greeted. The three looked at them with confidence in their stances while Ren meekly stood back and let them do their thing.

"Well, well, well..." Tanaka said menacingly. He took a step forward. "Now what do we have here-" 

Daichi tugged him back by his collar. "You Kageyama?" He asked.
