two years ago:
"Hood, give me your status." there was no answer. "Damn it Hood, give me your status!" the only thing heard was static. Red Robin cursed and swung over to the bad side of town. He went down to the docks where Hood was last seen. Red Hood was pinned down to the pavement, his weapons thrown away. His helmet was cracked, to the point of near-shattering. Blood dripped out from underneath the helmet. There, standing above Hood, was a dark figure Red Robin knew too well.
"S-stop, P-please." Red Hood pleaded.
"JASON!" Red Robin yelled, the bat swung away, right before he could confront him. Jason's body was twisted in many unnatural ways. Blood was gushing from many wounds. Red Robin tried to pick him up without injuring him further, and walked him to the nearest safe house of Jason's and called Alfred, while he rushed to set up the heart rate monitor.
"A, I wouldn't call you from Jason's safe house if it weren't an emergency. Jason is badly hurt, and I mean badly. I can't do this myself. It's too much." Tim choked out, a tear streaming down his face. Alfred sighed over the phone.
"Would you mind telling me where it is? I'd rather not alert Master Bruce, for he would-"
"Bruce did this to him. He's in critical condition." the line was silent.
"Give me a few minutes. I need to talk to Master Bruce, then I will be on my way." the call went dead. Tim huffed and threw his phone across the room.
"'Placement." Hood stirred. "I didn't do it. Tell Alfred I didn't do it." he slipped into unconsciousness again. Tim sent the message to Alfred through text message. It was left on read.
Alfred:
"Master Bruce, would you like to tell me why your son is in critical condition, to the point where Master Timothy had to call me, half crying?" Bruce's mouth formed a straight line.
"That murderer is not my son." Alfred tightened his jaw.
"Sir, the last thing Master Jason said, before he passed out, was 'I didn't do it. Tell Alfred I didn't do it.' If he is lying on his deathbed once again, I doubt he would lie. I am off to go help save my grandson's life. I believe you can handle yourself just fine sir." he snapped. Alfred turned on his heel, and left the manor in both worry and anger. Bruce froze. Damian walked in the room.
"Father, if Todd didn't do it, then who killed Oswald Chesterfield's men?"
"I don't know Damian, but I will get to the bottom of this." Damian tilted his head.
"Father, Grayson said after you do something like this, you should feel remorse and apologize. Do you feel remorse?" Bruce sighed and rubbed his forehead.
"More than ever."

Back at Marinette's apartment (present):
"Tim? I'm back." she looked over and her balcony door was open. Outside, there was a broken flower pot, and some blood. She quickly did a scan of the apartment. Tim wasn't there. She tried calling Jason, he didn't pick up. She started to panic.
"Tikki? What's happening?" Tikki landed on Marinette's shoulder.
"I don't know Mari, but it doesn't look good. I think Gotham city might need Ladybug." Marinette bit her lip.
"I- Let me call Bruce. Maybe he'll know." she dialed the number Bruce gave her for emergencies. He picked up on the third ring.
"Miss Dupain Cheng? Is everything alright?" Marinette glanced at the kwami, who was giving her an annoyed stare.
