"What are you doing?." He walked out of the guest room with a yawn.
"Tim, it's three in the morning. Go back to bed" he glared at her.
"Hypocrite." She shrugged.
"Hypocrisy is the tongue of the...... the......." he laughed and plopped on the foot of her bed.
"Stop trying to come up with a saying that doesn't exist, and get to sleep." She sighed and shut her laptop.
"I can't, I'm behind on everything at MDC, and there is a viewing for a potential building, and shit." She froze. "Tomorrow is the lunch thing. Oh wait, I can just schedule it before. Chloe won't mind. I can probably pick you up after the viewing and" she kept rambling on, and on. Tim grabbed her arm to cut her off.
"I'll go with you for the viewing then we can go to lunch. Sound good?" She slowly nodded.
"Good. Now turn off the lamp and go to sleep." She groaned then opened the laptop.
"I can't, I have stuff to do. It's 8 am in Paris and my phone is blowing up." He knit his eyebrows then hit the power button on the phone.
"Problem solved. Let me take this," he grabbed everything work related and stacked it on the nightstand, then shutting off the light. He draped himself across her stomach, then pulled the blanket over. "There ya go. See you in the morning." She raised her eyebrows and placed a hand in his hair. He moved his body up so his head was resting on her chest.
"Hey Tim?" He hummed and looked up. "Sorry for waking you up." He huffed.
"Stop apologizing. I was already up. Trying to get the server back up on the line. It's not working for me." He mumbled, she stiffened, he jolted up, and placed his weight on his arms. "You did it. You said Bruce called you earlier before I did. I was on the phone with him before that. He told you to shut the server down." She shushed him and played with his hair.
"Shhh you should sleep." He chuckled.
"That's rich, coming from you."
"Mmhmm."
The next morning was a rush of Marinette's limbs across the apartment. She ran into just about everything, including Tim. He closed his arms around her flailing form
"Sit down. You have everything, I memorized your list. We still have thirty minutes until we have to go. The guest room is cleaned out and I put the rest of my stuff in my apartment. Is it ok if I sleep on the couch though?" He muttered in her hair. She breathed in his scent, then sighed.
"Of course you can. Thank you, You're right. Sorry for freaking out." He pecked the top of her head.
"It's ok, and stop apologizing." She buried her face and sighed. He smiled in content. Someone knocked on the door. Tim walked over to answer it, but Marinette stepped in front of him. A blonde girl with sunglasses was checking her nails next to a ravenette with dark eyes. Tim recognized them.
"Chloe, Kagami! You're early!" Tim waved from behind her. Chloe rose an eyebrow.
"I told you I'd be here at Seven-Thirty. It's almost eight." Marinette'e face turned red.
"I actually umm, well I, I mean, we, umm" Tim spoke up.
"Blueberry is looking at a building for MDC and she scheduled it back to back with lunch." Chloe crossed her arms.
"Thank you Wayne. Mari, why was I not notified? I'm your assistant. I could have just scheduled it for later!" Marinette fidgeted with the hem of her sundress.
