Prologue 1:/-Isabelle's Pov-/

To begin with-the hunger games is the best book alive.

Hopefully, this treacherous audition would run quickly. Yet I knew this had to be super duper professional. I started to grasp the zipper of my red jacket. I push my hair back and zip up the remaining inches.

I start to grit my teeth-hard. The music starts to play downstairs. It's a tradition my sister and I play. The brown braid starts to flop down my neck as I grin. Snickering, I slip my phone on the tight pants I was wearing.

I frantically bolt down the stairs. Madeline has her jaw dropped. "That's crazy." I snicker," I don't know-I tried going full out." She starts laughing as the roar of an engine startles me.

I silently wince then cringe. "Wren's taking me isn't he." She giggles a bit," Nope Xander is." I sigh," He's ok but 2 years older than me." Madeline sneers," Big deal I can imagine you two." She chuckles as I scoff," He's a great friend but why him." She clears her throat.

"He's auditioning for Cato." "That's good." The car honks as I speed off to Xander's car. "Hello Mrs. Fuhrman." I gently hug him as he speeds off. "Ready for the audition." "Yeah-" I box silently.

I'm doomed

dead.

He's going to do great

I think.

Gary's going to hate me

I think.

The rustic car waddles in front of Gary's house as a blinded boy struggles to memorize his lines on the porch. It's brown with vintage markings all around.

Smoke fills the crisp air. The sun's heat starts to spread on my back. I can do this I'm ready. "

For a moment I remember Madeline's words," I can imagine you two together."

I can actually see it.

Xander and I together...
