Travis

I stare at the board. Math class is so boring. I wish my soulmate actually talked to me so I would have something to do.

Briiiiiing!

Finally the bell. I run out of the classroom and down the hall to my locker. My brother is leaning up against the side of the locker.

"What's up?" I ask

"You remember my girlfriend Kayla? She invited us to dinner with her family" Conner replies 

I sigh. Dinner? With my brothers girlfriends family? No thank you. I can go without the awkwardness. 

I walk out of the school and climb into my car. Conner sits in the passenger seat and we drive back home.

Time Skip

I flop down onto my bed and grab a pen. I decide to write to my soulmate, even though she never writes back.

How are you?

Suddenly I feel a sharp pain in my arm. I glance down to see a message from my soulmate. She wrote back!!

I get up a do a little dance before reading the message and writing back.

I'm good how are you?

Hi! You're actually writing back!

Hello. I realized I never introduced myself 

You can call me prank master

She doesn't respond. She must be doing something. I run downstairs into the kitchen.

"MOM! MY SOULMATE WROTE BACK!!!" I yell. 

My mother turns around and hugs me "That's great Travis! Want to help me make the casserole for dinner?"  

"The dinner isn't till 6pm. Its only 4:46pm. I'm going to watch some tv" I respond as I walk into the living room and flop onto the couch.

A sharp pain comes from my arm and I grab the nearest pen.

Well then you can call me plant lady

I laugh at the name she gave herself. I wonder what the story behind it is. We continue talking for a while. I'm about to ask where she goes to school when my mom calls.

"Travis! We have to go! Come on!" She yells.

I sigh and write I quick message to my soulmate. I run to the bathroom and wash the pen off my arm. Then I grab my shoes and race out the door.

I have to go. My brother has a date. Talk to you tomorrow?

Of course. Bye!

We arrive at the house and Conner rings the door. I stand beside my mom the the front porch.

"Kayla!! Your date is here!" A familiar voice yells from inside.

Kayla comes and invites us in. My mom goes to talk to a man in a wheelchair while I discuss pranks with Leo.

"What?!" Someone yells.

"Gather round everybody! The feast is about to begin!" The man in the wheelchair announces. 

We all gather at the table where place cards are set out. I talk my spot between Will and Conner. Kayla sits across from Conner, Leo across from Will and Katie across from me.

Wait- Katie? I didn't know she lived here as well. She glares at me and I smile back. Katie rolls her eyes and turns to talk with Leo.

The food is placed and we eat. It's very quiet in till Mom starts up some conversation.
