I carved through the chaos, my blades flashing with lethal precision as titans crumpled before me like withered leaves. Our rear guard had finished our assigned section, and now we were racing to support other parts of our formation. Each swing of my sword was a vow kept, each enemy felled with ruthless efficiency. My focus was razor-sharp, drawn taut with a single, relentless priority: Eren. Despite the orders and protocols, the heavy weight of my concern drove me forward with unwavering urgency.

Ahead, a ten-meter titan lumbered into view. I anchored my hook to a nearby building, propelling myself swiftly behind the titan. With a decisive slash, I severed the nape of its neck. The move was reckless, a deviation from the vanguard's path, but I couldn't help but be driven by the fear for Eren's safety.

The ground trembled with the approach of a titan unlike the others. This one was a grotesque behemoth, its blonde hair matted with crimson. It exuded an aura of predatory menace, a hunger so primal it seemed to suffocate the air.

The titan's relentless advance was a spectacle of raw, bloodthirsty force. I met its gaze with a defiant glare, but it pressed on undeterred.

"Dammit!" I cursed, my voice lost in the din of battle. I fired my hook towards a building, but the shot went awry, snagging instead on the titan's forehead.

"Looks like I have no choice, then!" I yelled, bracing myself for the clash. With a surge of determination, I charged at the titan, plunging my blades into its eyes, the steel finding purchase in the titan's vulnerable spots. My strength surged as I drove my swords into the nape of its neck, ending its monstrous advance.

I turned my gaze back to Eren, spotting his slender form perilously close to another titan. My heart pounded as I raced to his side, shoving him out of harm's way. He landed safely on a nearby roof, and I made a split-second decision to evade the titan's attack.

"Fight on, Eren!" I shouted, my voice a beacon amidst the chaos.

But even as hope flared, the titan with the beard lurched forward, its cavernous mouth engulfing me in one swift motion. Darkness swallowed the light, and I felt myself drifting into a void—an endless expanse where existence seemed to dissolve into nothingness.

In the emptiness, I felt a profound solitude, a void where time and emotion ceased to matter. It was as if I was suspended in a world bereft of meaning—alone, but not completely.

In that abyss, a hand pierced through the titan's maw, prying its jaws apart with fierce determination, and grasped mine with unwavering resolve.

"Eren!" I cried out, the name a lifeline in the void.

His voice, strained but resolute, cut through the darkness. "I told you I'd get you back. We're making it out of here, no matter what!"

Despite his valiant effort, the titan's mouth began to close with relentless force. In a sudden, horrifying moment, its jaws snapped shut, severing Eren's arm that clung to mine. Darkness engulfed me as blood splattered against my face, and I felt Eren being pulled into the titan's gaping maw, swallowed by the encroaching void.

Falling together, hands clasped, the world around us blurred into a maelstrom of uncertainty. Yet, through it all, Eren's voice echoed in my ears.

"Ich liebe dich..."
