Mikaelson Compound

Freya Mikaelson and Monique Deveraux, after a visit to her at the St. Louis Cathedral regarding Rebekah, have just come back to the compound after the former's astral-projection date with Rebekah at a hostel in Morocco, and they immediately-- almost simultaneously pause in the doorway when they notice all of the destruction in the main foyer. Both looking visibly worried, Monique slowly leads the way into the courtyard as they both get visions of Klaus and Elijah's violent fight regarding the latter's secret, despite how it occurred over one thousand years ago, concerning Aurora de Martel at that. Monique shakes her head a little at the mess and carnage surrounding them before she shares a relatable look of utter concern with Freya near her.

A tired sigh leaves Monique, "I knew I should've stayed to babysit. Careful."

First, Freya nearly trips over what remains of the bar at that as she receives a flash of Elijah tackling Klaus onto it before she, along with Monique, sees several overturned wooden chairs, causing them to see when Klaus grabbed Elijah in a headlock from behind, which led to Elijah elbowing him in the face and throwing him across the courtyard into the chairs. Next, they see the chandelier, which has been pulled down from the ceiling, scattering the taper candles in it across the floor next to a small puddle of blood, which they see has come from when Klaus, whom Elijah had in a choke-hold, bit Elijah on the right forearm to get out of it. On top of the overturned footstool, Monique finds a broken chair leg that is soaked in blood, which she picks up to hand over to Freya just in case she needs to arm herself.

Just as they're beginning to look incredibly concerned for the brothers, Monique hears the doors to the dining room creak open, to which she quickly shushes Freya to remain silent. When the former looks toward the source of the noise, she finds Klaus and Elijah, both of whom are covered in fresh blood and are wearing the tattered remains of their clothing, silently and calmly sitting at the table together as though they hadn't just had a violet confrontation. Freya, burning with annoyance, drops the stake and rushes into the room after Monique, in which Elijah is absentmindedly fiddling with what remains of his tie while Klaus drains some of his blood into a glass. A seeping wound on Elijah's right wrist is visible from where Klaus bit him, and the right sleeve of his jacket has almost been ripped off.

A visibly unimpressed Freya mentioned them, "May I ask what happened?"

A smirk comes upon Klaus' face, "We had a little chat about the past."

"Yeah, I think 'little' would be a huge understatement, don't you think?" Monique shares a relatable, deeply concerned look with the blonde witch.

The eldest Mikaelson sibling rolls her clear emerald eyes in exasperation to her pair of brothers, and Elijah, sounding exhausted, explains what happened, "I informed Niklaus I am not his enemy. And, though they entered the city under the guise of peace, Tristan and Lucien, in truth, are allied against us. A fact that required a little bit of...gentle persuasion..."

Freya is visibly amused by this while Monique remains visibly concerned, though the former maintains her expression blank in order to not encourage their behavior, especially in front of Monique, and turns to look at her half-brother, who continued the interpretation after his own half-brother.

"And so I reminded our brother, who angered them in the first place..."

"And, after all of this civil discourse, what understanding did you come to?" Freya averts her morbidly curious gaze between the two young men.
