A/N: This is set after the end of the Battle of Hogwarts. It's Ginny's seventeenth birthday and she is to get many surprise gifts. But one surprise has shaken her greatly.
KNOCK KNOCK
"Come in." called the occupant of the room.
The door opened and a certain raven haired young man entered his girlfriend's room. She still had her back to him as she put on her perfume. he closed the door behind him softly.
"so, how do I look? " asked Ginny Weasley, turning around to face him.
Harry Potter let out an involuntary gasp at the sight of beauty in front of him. She had worn a pale blue halter neck dress which hugged her tightly at all the right places and reached till mid thigh. Her hair was flowing freely down her back, except a small tuft that was pulled back by a clip. She had put on a very little amount of makeup and her Lily of the Valley perfume, which she used only for special occasions. Adorning her neck was a saphire pendant, a gift from Harry. All in all she looked so damn gorgeous that Harry couldn't take his eyes off her.

[Ginny's dress.]
" I'm glad she is mine. " thought Harry. His thoughts drifted off to how he would rip that dress right off her that night, and --
"Harry, HARRY ! Where did you get lost? " asked Ginny, a smile playing on her face.
"Just thinking how beautiful you are. You look gorgeous. " he said as he pulled her closer by the waist, kissing her neck. She moaned, and then gasped as he marked her. His mouth had started to move south when --
"Harry? Ginny? Are you done already? "
They broke apart, breathing heavily. After a moment, while steadying themselves, Harry called out, " Yes Hermione, we'll be there in a moment. "
"Alright." came the reply.
" We should go now, everyone is probably wondering where we are." said Harry to his girlfriend, or rather secret fiance, as she cast some concealment charms on her neck to cover up the red marks Harry had left on her.
"Yes we probably should. There, I'm all done now. C'mon, let's go." said Ginny as she grabbed his hand and led the way.
When they reached the bottom of the stairs, it was dark and quiet. But suddenly, they were greeted by a "SURPRISE!" by people who emerged from various furniture in the living room, and some fireworks which said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARRY AND GINNY !", which was obviously a product from the WWW. Like last year, they were having a joint birthday party for Harry and Ginny. They had invited only their closest friends and they could bring a 'plus one' with them.
They cut the cake together with their friends and family around them. As soon as they cut the cake, they fed each other a piece and kissed softly. Cake was passed around the table and it was now time for the real party to commence.
A/N: There you go, a brand new story! This one's going to be longer. And no, it isn't a continuation of the previous story.
I have many head cannons. This is one of them, where Harry and Ginny just can't wait to get married and plan to elope, another reason for doing this is to escape the press.So the Weasleys aren't aware of the pair's engagement. Ginny's ring is similar to the one in the previous story, placed under a disillutionment charm.
