....Cake was passed around the table and it was now time for the real party to commence.
It was then that it all had started. Seamus had brought along Cho as a friend, as he had recently broken up with Lavender and didn't have anyone to bring along. Cho offered to bring the birthday boy and girl a drink each while they danced together.
During the dance, it was as if only the two of them existed, although the others had joined them and Cho was discreetly glaring at Ginny. They just stared deep into each other's eyes, swaying in each other's arms with wide smiles on their faces. They had finally gained some happiness, with no dark wizard haunting them or hunting for them. Soon, the soft music came to an end and the twins, who had taken up the responsibility, played a song by The Weird Sisters, much to Molly's chagrin.
It was then that Cho arrived with their drinks.
"Harry, Ginny, I brought you your drinks. And everyone, your drinks are on the counter, go and have them." said Cho .
With that, everyone momentarily left the makeshift dance floor to get their drinks and come back.
As Cho handed over the drinks, she spilled some on Ginny's dress.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, Ginny. I didn't mean to." said Cho, feigning concern.
"Oh it's alright, Cho. I'll just head to the loo and sort it all out. Be right back." said Ginny as she put her glass down on a nearby table and stalked off to the loo.
After casting a simple Scourgify on her dress, checking and fixing her appearance a bit, Ginny exited the loo and headed back to the party. At the party, her fiancee was nowhere to be seen.She guessed he had gone out for some fresh air, just like last year. So she sneaked out of the back door quietly and her absence went unnoticed as everyone was busy in their own world.
But as she shut the door close and headed towards the pond, she heard some sounds coming from somewhere nearby. Suspicious, she headed towards the direction of the sound. But what she found there, shocked her greatly. There stood Harry, her soon- to- be -husband, and his ex- girlfriend, none other than Cho Chang, locked in a tight embrace and snogging intensely.
Tears sprang to her eyes, her breath got caught in her throat. A lump formed in her throat which she found she could not gulp down. Her whole world crashed down upon her and her heart shattered into a million pieces. It was as if someone had plunged a dagger deep into her heart. She had loved her with all her heart and being, and had thought the feeling was entirely mutual. But he had only been taking advantage of her all this time. She didn't even realize that tears were now flowing freely down her face.
"H-Harry?" said Ginny, her voice hoarse.
