....."Ginny." he called out tentatively.
She jumped, startled, but when she saw who it was, she diverted her gaze to the pond in front of her.
"What do you want, Potter?" she said coldly, trying desperately to keep the hurt out of her voice, but failed to do so. That didn't go unnoticed by Harry.
"Ginny, it's all a misunderstanding. It was Cho's trick. Ginny please hear me out. Please Gin." pleaded Harry, desperate for her to understand.
"I don't want to listen or talk to you, Potter. You've broken my trust, my heart, Harry. Why don't you go to your new girlfriend, huh? Bet she'll be all too happy to see you again. and yeah, take your stupid ring. Better give it to your new, true love." sneered Ginny as she stood up and went to take the ring off.
"Ginny, please don't do that. Listen to me. It all started when she dropped..." said Harry as he began to explain what really had happened.
But Ginny was not in the state of listening. Apparently, the shock had taken over and she felt really faint.
"Harry...Harry....HARRY! Please stop it, I feel faint. I-I..." said Ginny, trying to get his attention, clutching her head as she fainted and fell towards the ground.
When Ginny got his attention and he finally realized what was happening, Harry's eyes widened and his heart started hammering wildly in his chest as he caught Ginny in his arms before she reached the ground.
"Ginny...Ginny! Please, wake up love. Please Gin." said Harry frantically as he scooped her up in his arms like a prized possession, which she was, and sat down under a tree with her head in his lap.He tried shaking her awake, but in vane. Giving up, he drew out his wand, pointed it at her and said, "Enervate."
With a soft moan, Ginny's eyes fluttered open as she took in her surroundings, stopping at Harry. A scowl formed on her face and she Tried to sit up quite swiftly, due to which she felt a bit dizzy again which caused her to grab her head.
"Whoa, easy Gin." said Harry worriedly as he put his hand on her shoulders to support her.
"I'm fine. I guess the shock of seeing you and Cho...like that got to me. Anyway, you were explaining weren't you? Come on then, start explaining." said Ginny stiffly, shrugging his hands off her shoulders.
Harry sighed and took her hands between his, and held onto them tightly when she went to pull them away. She tried to free her hands, but eventually gave in. He explained it all to her. After he finished, he looked deep into her eyes, willing her to see the truth in his eyes.
Fortunately, she found what she was looking for in his eyes and her own eyes softened. She softly touched his cheek and kissed him, just as softly.
"I believe you. I'm sorry I didn't listen to you earlier, or even think about it myself. Now I understand why your eyes were clouded that way. And here I thought..." said Ginny, looking away.
"Don't be sorry Gin, it's not your fault. I would've done the same thing if I were you. I'm sorry that you had to see that." said Harry, putting a finger under her chin to turn her face back towards him.
"I was so hurt. I-I thought that you had cheated on me. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would have to see that." said Ginny softly as she put her forehead on his and closed her eyes. "I love you so much."
"I know Gin, I know. I love you too, so much." said Harry, kissing her.
"Although, that was one hell of a bat-bogey hex you hit me with, Gin." said Harry rubbing his nose, a smile playing on his face.
Ginny threw her head back and burst out laughing. Harry joined in.
All was well.
