A few days later

The 18 teenagers gathered in the practice room once again to meet up for karaoke. They also need to tidy up the things they left in the lockers.

Daeyeol let out a sigh after looking around at everyone else. "If nothing special happens, this should be the last time we all gather together like this."

"It was a really great time, and we will probably still get to hang out in smaller groups," Jaeseok smiled, "but us golden child need to work harder from now on." The other boys nodded in agreement.

"That means more intense practices," Jaehyun cried, making a few people laugh.

Suddenly, the door knob was turned, making a noise and grabbing everyone's attention.

They were confused because everyone was already in the practice room. There shouldn't be anyone else coming in.

The door then opened, revealing a girl. She's beautiful, as pretty as the idols people see on TV. She had a large suitcase right next to her, as if she just came back from somewhere.

Jaein, Arim, Chaejung, and Rico did not recognise the girl, but it seemed like everyone else did. They were all frozen in shock. The whole room was silent.

Ryu was the one who broke the silence. Her eyes were still full of hesitation and she couldn't believe what she is seeing. "Are you..."

The girl nodded before smiling. "Yes, it's me. I'm back."

After confirming who she is, the others were even more surprised.

Minah let out a gasp, Mijin rubbed her eyes to check whether what she saw is real. A few of the boys widened their eyes in shock, and the rest of them turned around...

They were looking at Sungyoon.

Soon, everyone turned their focus to Sungyoon, including the 4 confused girls who had no idea why they're all looking at him.

Sungyoon seemed to find it difficult to speak or move as he stared at the girl, but after a moment he abruptly stood up and walked to her.

"Come with me," he said quietly, grabbing her wrist and dragged her out of the room, closing the door behind them.

It was silence again after the two of them left, and this time Rico spoke.

"What's happening? Who's that?" She asked, looking around observing their reactions.

"That's Sungyoon hyung's girlfriend," Jibeom answered after a few seconds of silence.

"What?!" Arim and Rico exclaimed at the same time.

Chaejung looked out at the door. "Dang, she's really pretty."

"Really?!" Arim was still shocked. "I didn't know he has a girlfriend, and I've never seen her before."

"We haven't seen her for a long time too," Mijin replied.

Ryu sat back down on the floor, looking at the direction they left in disbelief. "Long story, but she left 3 years ago, and we lost contact with her ever since."

Jangjun curiously tried to peek through the window on the door but Youngtaek pulled him back down.

"Give them some time." Minah glared at Jangjun, and he did a funny face in response.

"Not even Sungyoon could contact her? For 3 years?! Then did they break up?" Rico asked. The others shook their head.

Jibeom, at this moment, realized something, and his eyes quickly searched for Jaein among everyone else. He wanted to observe her reaction to this information. He frowned as his eyes met her soulless ones for a second, before she broke the eye contact by looking down.
