MANIK'S POV :

Should I say yes? Should I say no? Is it okay if I say yes? What if I say yes? Why am I even thinking about it? Why is it bothering me?
Should I just say no and end it here? Wait. Will I even be accepted if I say yes?

The thoughts cloud my mind when Nandini asked me if I would like to join them.
The answer to it ...even I don't know that.

I stand in front of them,confused, as I recollect the conversation with Arnav.

[ 10 MINUTES EARLIER ]

" Does Abhimanyu know that you're here? " I hesitantly ask Arnav.

Arnav turns around and walks to the couch. " Of course. You think he'd object me picking up Nandini? " he sits on the couch, his legs crossed.

" Not like that. Was just curious. " I roll my eyes.

" How's it going on with Soha? " He randomly questions, making me think for a while.

" Why do you ask that? " I question back.

" Was just curious. " He smirks. That smirk annoyed me so much but I kept calm. I did not question him any further.
Why does he even want to know about my relationship!

" I want you to stay away from Nandini. " He says out of nowhere.

" What? Why should I? " I ask in defence.

" I don't want you to hurt her. "

" why do you think I will hurt her? "
Arnav starts to annoy me.

" because you've always been doing that. "

What the hell?

" Stop it before it gets serious. " I warn him.

" That's what I want. You stop it before it gets serious and before it hurts her.."

" You know what, when someone tells me not to do something, I will definitely do it. " I chuckle, " by any chance.. do you.. like her? " I question him, thinking that it is the right time to know what he feels about Nandini.

" that's not your business. " He replies quick.

" don't lie. I know you are jealous. "

" Jealous? Really? " He laughs, " jealous because of you? Oh my God! Very funny. It's actually the reverse. You are jealous. Admit it already. " Arnav continues laughing.

" I'm not jealous. " I say with a stern voice.

" You are. You are. I can see that. Nandini is close to me, not you. So obviously it is you who is jealous. " He shrugs.

His words kept angering me more.

" Yeah, she is definitely close to you, I know. But... she likes someone else. You know it right! " I confidently reply, with a smirk on my face.

Arnav did not expect that. He remains still, staring at me in anger.

A few seconds later Nandini comes back downstairs.
