[29] Little things

UNKNOWN POV :

" Look at him being so normal. Not atleast once he looked at me today. Why is he doing this to me? Ahhhhhh " Nandini cries, texting Navya.

" He seems too calm. Something's not right. " Navya texts back.

" He can just say it, can't he? Big one or a little thing, I just want to know the reason why he's mad at me! "

" Should I ask him?? "
Nandini pauses for a second.
Will he answer if Navya asks him? Or will he be even more mad if she asks him?
She thinks for a while.

" Please. " she exhales and leans back on her desk.

" On it. " Nandini reads Navya's message. She puts back her phone on the table and looks at Arnav.
Navya calls Arnav twice but he doesn't respond. The third time when she is about to call him he slowly unplugs the headphones. Keeping them aside he turns to Navya.

" Yeah. What? " He asks with a smily face.

Navya gets confused for a minute. Even she did not expect him to respond sweetly.
" uh- actually, ummm- " Navya stutters, hesitant to ask him about their issue.

" is something wrong? " Arnav asks with concern.

" No, no. Nothings wrong. " she gives him an awkward smile. " I wanted to ask if you're done with your assignment or not. " She instantly comes up with a new topic to save herself.

" Yeah, it's almost done. All thanks to Minnie. She is smart. " He smiles looking at a female who was two desks away from thiers.

" Minnie? " Navya repeats after him, " who's that? " Her eyes follow Arnav's. She looks back at Arnav just to find him smiling proudly for no reason.

" She's my partner. "

" Huh? Partner!!!! " Navya shrieks.

" Yes. "

" You idiot!!! You have a partner and never told us anything about it !!!  " Navya loses her calm and fires at him, slapping his back.

" Dude! Assignment partner. " Arnav corrects Navya, emphasizing Minnie as his assignment partner only.

" Ahh~ assignment partner. " Navya mumbles and looks away.

Minnie notices Arnav looking at her. She gets up from her desk and heads to Arnav.
" Why is she heading here? " Navya whispers to Arnav while Arnav shakes his head implying a 'i don't know'

" Don't forget to come over today, okay?? " Minnie glares at Arnav.

" Sure~ " Arnav shoots her a smirky smile.
Navya gapes at the two, clueless.
Nandini observes all this happening. Anger piles up in her as she notices the way Arnav talks to the new girl.

" Oh hello, what are you laughing YOU got to finish the work okay, not me! I've done the maximum job. " she snaps at him making the girls listening to her more confused.

" Yes, yes, Minnie. Thanks to your smart brain we could do it so easily unlike the others. " Arnav winks at her.

Navya and Nandini just keep staring at the two.

" I am smart. Thanks but you owe me a treat. Don't forget that. "  she crosses her hands over her chest.

" How can I forget that! How about this Sunday? "

Nandini and Navya immediately exchange looks. Arnav mentioning  Sunday made their minds go crazy for a minute.

Navya's phone vibrates.
" Sundayyyyyyyyyy !!!! Is he crazy?? " She reads Nandini's message.
