First-year students will require:

One Plain pointed hat (Black) for day wear.

One pair of protective gloves ( dragon hide or similar).

One Winter Cloak(Black, silver fastenings).

Harrie couldn't believe how much she would own at the end of this. She had walked into Madam Malkins for her robes. Standing on the podium while getting measured was strange. A boy with an older lady walked in. Madam Malkin got excited at seeing him and quickly finished her off. Once Harrie had paid, she shot the boy a smile after receiving one and went off to find Professor Sinistra. Professor Sinistra was collecting her telescope and writing materials. Harrie was meant to meet her outside of Flourish and Blotts where Harrie could get her books as well as any other she wants. Harrie had asked to be able to go to the Apothecary as she had always loved chemistry which was a muggle version of potions. So after getting books they would go to Slug and Jigger's Apothecary then finally Olivanders to get the wand. 

Professor Sinistra was just outside the bookshop when Harrie got there. Professor Sinistra was collecting the necessary books while Harrie was able to choose books for entertainment. She chose Wizarding Traditions and charms every witch should know. She could have brought more but decided she could owl order as Professor Sinistra said if she found a subject to catch her fancy. 

Now going into the Apothecary, Harrie couldn't believe the different ingredients used. She got a catalogue she could owl order from. After buying her cauldron, they carried on with their shopping. 

Before Ollivanders, Professor Sinistra walked her towards Magical Menagerie. Harrie now had to choose a pet, an owl, cat or toad. Harrie knew she didn't want a toad particularly. An owl would be handy for all kind of things but Harrie had no one to write to. Harrie looked at the owls and kittens. When a black Kitten with golden eyes jumped onto her shoulder. Harrie had jumped a mile when that had happened. 

Professor Sinistra had laughed and said "Well I guess, she has chosen you" 

Harrie paid for her but now had to choose a name. She had decided to look for a name later on in the books. 

Professor Sinistra had brought her home and made sure she knew how to get to the Hogwarts express. Harrie laid in her cupboard with a book she snuck in. Her trunk which Professor Sinistra had brought was locked in the shed. The Kitten now Ashes was tucked into her blanket as Harrie started the book Wizarding Traditions by Cassiopeia Black.
