"Most likely going to die from swelling." Manny mentally noted. "Nothing I can really do other than show that I tried." Outside wounds were the only things he could manage. Inside wounds were out of his hands. Especially that of a skull fracture and the goods inside. Swelling, bleeding, this is a doctor's work. That is why he was surprised when he heard the male groan and try to sit up. When he tried to reach forward out of his bed, Manny lightly grabbed him by his shoulders and forced him back down.

"Wher-where am I?" The man mumbled. Looking around before spotting Manny standing next to him. "Who're you?" He asked. Slowly realizing something, he asked himself an even better question. "Wait... Who am I?" Nick asked. Manny did not answer as he walked to the small table to the right of the bed, picking up all the surgical items and placing them into a leather bag. Nick tried to get up again, only to have Manny return and push him back down. With a firm shake of his head, Manny point at him and then to the bed, before making an X with his arms. "I... I can't leave the bed? Not even to sit up?" Nick asked. Manny nodded his head yes. "Yes, I can leave the bed? Or yes I got it right the first time?" Nick asked. Manny raised up one finger. Nick stared at him for a minute. "You don't talk much do you?" He asked. Manny shook his head no. "Oh. That's okay. So like... Are you my friend now? Or were we already friends?" Nick asked. Manny did not answer. Instead, he headed back to the table to clean up some more. Nick watched from the side at an awkward sideways angle. He could not remember anything. His head felt foggy when he tried. When he reached up to touch it, he flinched. "Ow." He muttered before touching it again. "Ow." About to touch it again, Manny smacked his hand. "Ow."

BACK TO THE BICKERING FLYERS IN THE BACKYARD

"That's none of your business." The girl in the white sundress growled. Arms crossed in a superior way, MABSOOT mimicked her stance. The pose unsettled the girl for a reason she could not put her finger on. It displayed abnormal dominance from such a lowly person. "It kinda iz!" MABSOOT argued. "Becauze one-," She raised up one finger. "You owe me an explanation for why there iz a big azz hole and azzhole on my property, and two... Yeah no. That'z the bezt I got actually. Bezidez having your boyfriend in our care, of courze." MABSOOT finished. The girl crunched her eyebrows together. "Is that a human term for having a boy as a friend? Cause if so, he's not even that to me." The girl thought. MABSOOT facepalmed at her mistake.

"Oh right! What waz the word we uzed for it?" MABSOOT started snapping her fingers as she thought for the right term in Flyer. "Oh yeah! Your, feathermate." MABSOOT corrected. "Of courze in human termz boyfriend iz lezz zeriouz and the only human wordz that match up with feathermate iz husband and/or wife." MABSOOT muttered as she rubbed her chin. The girl got paler as she sneered at MABSOOT. "He's not my feathermate! Nor my wife or husband!" She shouted. "Ha! Eh HAH ha! Yeah right, Mz.No Name! Explain why he waz holding you zo tightly like one then." MABSOOT grinned wide as she wiggled her eyebrows at her mischievously. The girl huffed. "He was being a... Gentle feather. And I do have a name!" The nameless young lady said. "Oh yeah? Hit me with it." MABSOOT said. The way she spoke was highly unusual to the girl. But she guessed what MABSOOT had just said was a way of asking for her name.

"My name is Angelica Zanpollio." Angelica said. "Fancy." MABSOOT commented. "Now then, where is he?" Angelica asked. "Worried about your feathermate I zee." MABSOOT said. "He's not my feathermate! He-... He's an old friend of mine." She said. "He'z with Manny right now. In-," MABSOOT pointed at the house. "There. Zeeing how you're new around here, I guezz we could let you ztay." MABSOOT said as she turned around. She started to crawl her way out of the hole when she noticed Angelica not following. "Hey! I already gave you an invitation, zo let'z go!" She said as she waved her up. Angelica was about to say something but decided to shut her mouth for now. As Angelica climbed, it was noted that the soil was still warm from their fall. Her toes sensitive to the weird crumbly feeling of the naked ground. Nearing the top, she stumbled over some rocks and was about to fall when she felt a hand catch hers.
