Chapter 11: Taken By Man

Amelia walks through the jungle mumbling angry words to herself as she did so.

Amelia: (Mumbling) "Who does he think he is telling me what to do? I don't even know him and he's telling me what to do with my life? The absolute nerve!" (sighs)

Amelia then looks up and looks around unfamiliar with where she is.

Amelia: "Oh boy, where am I? Bagheera? Baloo? Mowgli? Anybody?"

Amelia gets no response. She then proceeds to continue her walk but slowly. She looked around the jungle being very cautious with everything she saw. She has never actually fought before and has no idea what she should do in a fight. She started to get very uneasy with her surroundings. It wasn't this scary when she was with Bagheera and could really use his company right about now.

Amelia: "Don't be scared, Amelia. You weren't this scared before, you shouldn't be this scared now."

She could hear some activities in the bushes as they made that rustling sound. The sound came from behind her, so she turns around to see. As she stared in fear she started to remember when Bagheera appeared out of the bushes, so maybe it was him.

Amelia: "B-B-Bagheera...?"

Amelia got no response, but all she got was a small sharp pain in her left thigh. She yelps a little and turns to look to see at her thigh to see what looks like a silver object with red feathers on it. Amelia didn't know where it came from, she didn't have enough time to think as she started to get dizzy and everything started to look blurry. Something wasn't right. Why was she feeling this way? She started to move forward. Her movements were wobbly.

Amelia: "B-Bagheera! Mowgli! B-Baloo! Hel-

Amelia finally collapses to the ground and everything went dark. From the distance, Mowgli and Baloo had heard their names being called.

Mowgli: "Did you hear someone call our names?"

Baloo: "Yeah, it sounded like Amelia. It sounds like she needs help."

Mowgli: "We should go help her."

Baloo: "Right behind you."

Mowgli and Baloo then started running to where they heard Amelia's voice. Bagheera also heard his name being called. He knew whose voice that was.

Bagheera: "What has she gotten herself into now?"

Bagheera who wasn't pleased with Amelia's carelessness started to run to where he heard her voice. Ivy on the other hand was flying through the jungle all mad and grumpy. Her grumpiness turns to shock when she eventually sees Amelia laying on the ground motionless. She had already landed on a tree branch when she saw her.

Ivy: "...Amelia..."

Ivy was about to fly down there to her, but three men came from the bushes were walking up to her. Ivy recognized those men as the same men who took her and her friends away from their home. The three men surrounded Amelia before trying to pick her up.

Transport Man 1: "Great, we finally found one of them, but the others are still missing."

Transport Man 2: "It wasn't that hard to find her, I'm sure we'll have some luck finding the others."

Transport Man 3: "Can't wait to get her to the new center. I heard they had a nice strong male jaguar waiting for her."

Transport Man: "We still have 4 more days to find the other animals, so let's get back to the tents and put her in her cage."

Ivy: (Gasp) "...oh no..."

The three men carry Amelia away into the bushes. Ivy stood there as she watched them carry her away. After the men were gone, Mowgli and Baloo had finally arrived at the spot to see nothing. They look around to see Amelia wasn't here.
