A/N: So uh, this is my first-actually not a first time writing a story but my first time writing a proper one and publishing it. The idea of writing a story just passed my head and I came up with this story "His Answer". Anyways I hope you enjoy this short story that I made!

Kendal Persila

I groaned as I was awoken from my sleep. The noise that was coming from my bedroom window. Banging noises greeted me early in the morning. Of course I knew who the culprit was, making all that ruckus trying to wake me up.

I opened my window in a flash, an "Oi!" Escaped my mouth in a deep irritated voice.

"Oops! You caught me. Wake up already Ken" the boy across from my window told me so.

"Yeah, yeah."

The boy who is living beside my house is my neighbor, Elric Thanner. We were friends since grade six and now here I am still friends with that idiot...

Kendal's face turned red in a flash just by thinking about her best friend. Yes, she has a huge crush on her best friend, the best friend who woke her up from her sleep.

"Oi! Ken!" She heard someone calling out her name, it was Elric. She doubled her pace and rushed downstairs.

"Yo." I met his dark blue eyes and greeted him coolly.

"Pfft."

I crossed my arms and asked him, "what?" In a sulking tone.

"Nothing!" He said, while holding back his laughter.
I chuckled not knowing what he was laughing at.

...

Thinking back, we weren't this close when we first met. I remember we had a hard time getting along... Right. Elric was the type to save people from troublesome situations, and I was one of the few people he saved from bullying.

FLASHBACK

It was when I was 12 years old. I transferred to this school and I was a sixth grader at that time. I really had a hard time adapting to the new environment because my friends weren't there with me. And as expected, I was left alone while the other students had their own circle of friends and I don't.

I was being bullied for being a loner and since the me that was not used to being alone was being bullied... I cried. I was being laughed at and being ridiculed by my classmates both boys and especially girls. Until... He came to save me.

"Oi. What are you doing down there?" He said, extending his arm for me to grab.

"Sniffle" I grabbed his hand and wiped my tears off.

I stood there quietly without letting go of his hand. As I raised my head to look at him, he glared at the students that were making fun of me. He then grabbed my hand firmly and we stormed out the classroom together.

He really was like a knight, a knight and shining armor. We went outside to get some fresh air-he instantly freed himself from my grip.

"Ow... How can a girl be so strong" he mumbled, feeling a slight pain from his hand.

"Hm?" I tilted my head in confusion. I then noticed red marks from his hand that I gripped.

"Ah-sorry!" I panicked knowing that I had hurt my savior.

He then chuckled and said "Kendal was your name right?" I stared blankly at him for a couple of seconds and asked waryly "h-how do you know my name?"

A moment of silence passed by and he bit back a "huh?!" In an angry confused tone.

"Then, do you know who I am?" He asked out of the blue.
