His Answer

Chapter Eight: part 1

MONDAY

Today is the day where we can know our test results from last weeks summative test in math. I had to wake up early so that when we arrive at school there won't be a lot of people around.

Me and Elric went to school together and we were pretty early seeing that there were just a few people inside our classroom. Before we went in, we looked at the bulletin board outside our classroom.

I looked for my name and it was in fourth place! I was so relieved to see that I was one of the few students with the high grades. And when I looked at who got a perfect score... It was none other than Elric.

As expected, he would ace the test with ease. And I don't know how he does it.

After looking at our scores, we went in and waited for the bell to rang. It was 7:15 AM in the morning, fifteen more minutes to go for our homeroom to start.

After fifteen minutes... the bell rang and me and my classmates were already seated waiting for Ms. Antonnette to arrive. When she arrived, she made a brief statement.

"Students, the assembly time for the opening ceremony will be 8:00 AM. Class president and vice president, assist your classmates to the gymnasium. That's all." Ms. Antonnette left the classroom.

When it was nearly 8:00 AM, we were asked by the class president to fall in line outside the classroom. And when it was finally time, we headed to the gymnasium where the other students were also seated. All of us from junior to senior highschool attended the opening ceremony.

A couple minutes later...

The school director arrived together with all of the teachers. He then greeted all of the students including the teachers.

"Pleasant morning students! And a pleasant morning to all teachers! We are gathered here today to witness the opening ceremony of our school festival!" The school director chuckled.

Everyone clapped.

"We will end this first quarter on a good note, of course you still have your exams before this quarter ends but don't you worry students, second quarter will be filled with activities."

"This years school festival will be different than before because we will open our gates to new opportunities! Students from different schools will be arriving here and will be your audience and customer." He added.

"So I hope, you will have a blast doing your class activity. The school festival will commence on September fourteen up to September eighteen. And your advisers will be the one to announce when your exam is gonna be. That's all."

All of us rised, cheered and clapped for his speech. And after that, we were asked  to go back to our designated classrooms, by class. When we arrived at our classroom, al of us were seated and were just waiting for our Economics teacher, Ms. Erica.

When she arrived she quickly picked up a whiteboard marker and started to jot down the pointers for our economics exam. After that, she started to discuss. And also, the other subject teacher's gave us their pointers for the examinations.

After a long day, classes were finally over! But we still had homeroom left. Ms. Antonnette came inside the classroom and made a quick announcement regarding the examinations.

"Ok class. For the quarter test you will have it on September twenty-three up to September twenty-five. You will have plenty of time to study and it will be your last days for the first quarter."
