Malfoy went up to his dormitory, eager to send a note to Hagrid saying Snape was out. Astoria the Apple was going to be one of The Elite. Draco was ecstatic. When he reached his bed, just as he was going to open his trunk, a piece of white parchment on his bed caught his eye. He went over and sat, unfolding the paper. 'Astronomy tower; 10 PM ~H'. Draco grinned, just knowing Hermione had sent him that note. He wondered how she did it. She must have given it to a Slytherin to give it to him. Draco went down and sat in the common room until ten. As soon as it was time, Malfoy leaped up and started making his way to the astronomy tower. He was stealthy, making sure he didn't run into anyone. When he reached the astronomy tower, there she was, looking out at the lake from the balcony. "Hermione!" Draco said enthusiastically. Hermione whipped around to face Malfoy. She looked surprised. "Draco? What are you doing here?" She was smiling, but she was also visibly confused. Just then a voice echoed out from behind Draco. "Got my note then, Malfoy?" Draco spun towards the voice, grabbing his wand from his pocket. "POTTAH!" Malfoy cried. "What are you doing up here with Hermione?" Harry asked, noticing Hermione's presence. "I thought she sent me the note," Draco replied. "And why would you care, Pottah?" Malfoy put his wand back in his black suit's pocket. Harry's wand wasn't drawn. "She happens to be my best friend. Alongside Ron, of course," Harry said coldly. "Harry," Hermione spoke. "I didn't even know Draco would be up here but you do know I am one of The Elite." Harry sighed. "Yes, yes, I know. Even though we have an undeniable amount of chemistry, I don't like you or anything, Hermione. No offence. I was just wondering why you were up here when I sent the note to Malfoy asking him to meet me up here." Harry fiddled with the cuff on his sleeve. "Hold up, why did you want to meet me here?" Draco asked. Harry blushed a little. "I just... I saw your outfit for the Yule Ball when your owl brought you the parcel. I couldn't help but notice it. Anyways, Mrs. Weasely told me she would take care of my dress robes but that greatly worried me when I saw Ron's dress robes. I uh, where did you get your dress robes?" Harry was very awkward. Malfoy raised his eyebrow, Hermione gave Harry a strange look. "Madam Malkins," Draco replied after a little while. "Right, er, I'll send Molly the money and tell her to get the robes there... Um, thanks, Malfoy." Harry went down the stairs and Draco just about burst into laughter. Hermione was laughing behind him. Poor pathetic Potter. Though Draco and Harry's relationship basically consisted of them bullying each other, there was a component of their relationship that consisted of them being awkwardly not mean to each other. Malfoy shook his head and walked up to Hermione. "That was interesting," she laughed. "Certainly," Draco responded. Malfoy put his hands on the railing of the balcony. The lake glistened in the moonlight. "Looks like we're finally alone," Hermione said in almost a whisper.
