The following morning Claire had History of Magic with the Ravenclaws.

The class went by incredibly slow and Professor Binn's lectures were boring as always, almost talking half of the students to sleep.

Claire tried to focus on his words but even she was losing track a few times.

After History of Magic had finished, the group made their way to Muggle studies, and to say that they were nervous was an understatement.

She wasn't looking forward to a lesson that resembled the Dark Arts class they had yesterday.

They made their way from the great hall to the first floor, where the classroom door was open.

Claire couldn't help but feel relieved that there wasn't a line of Hufflepuff students this time.

She walked past the showroom full of Muggle artefacts before sitting down in the back.

Claire had never taken this subject before and wasn't thrilled about it either.

Finding respect for muggles was something that she struggled with.

All she had been told was that they were a threat to the wizarding world and blood purity.

Theodore, once again, took a seat next to her but this time she didn't make a move.

He looked at her for a second before grabbing his textbook.

The students were chatting softly before the professor walked in, confidently strutting towards the front of the classroom.

Everyone turned silent while Professor Alecto Carrow sat down on the chair behind the big wooden desk.

She scanned the classroom and grinned when a few Hufflepuffs awkwardly shifted in their seats.

"First, I need you all to forget everything you have heard or been taught about muggles."

The students didn't dare to look at each other, even though they were all confused by Carrow's words.

"Everything you have heard about them is a lie."

Claire raised her eyebrows and noticed Nott listen carefully.

She reckoned any of Carrow's words wouldn't be new to her or any of her friends.

"Muggles have been repressing Wizards for century's..."

Most of the students from Hufflepuff were confused, as many of them had taken Muggle Studies before it became mandatory.

"They drove us into hiding!" Her voice became louder as she continued, almost becoming angry.

"Professor! That is not true. Last year Professor Burbage told us that Muggles and Wizards aren't that differe-"

The Hufflepuff boy in question seemed to be confident about his statement until he was rudely interrupted by Carrow.

"Shut your filthy mouth! 50 points from Hufflepuff."

Hufflepuff students began whispering to each other in disbelief while Carrow got up from her seat.

"Muggles and Wizards have never and will never be the same." She said through gritted teeth, making the Hufflepuff boy shrink.

Zabini and Parkinson began to stifle a laugh before Greengrass whispered for them to be quiet.

The second Carrow turned her back on the class to write on the board, Nott turned himself towards Claire.

"This class isn't that bad after all." He smirked but she kept looking forward, completely ignoring him.
