"... now, moving on," randy said, fixating his attention on one man. "daniel."
daniel let out a sigh before looking up at randy. "yes?"
"what's all this that i've been hearing about you allegedly dating ophelia jane?" randy asked, leaning back in his chair. corbyn, jonah, jack, and zach all exchanged looks amongst each other before looking at daniel to hear his response.
"ophelia's my girlfriend." daniel said nonchalantly.
randy rolled his eyes with a sigh, looking at david, before looking back at daniel. "you have a brand, daniel. you're supposed to be the single guy of the band."
"ok, but that's not what i want anymore." daniel shrugged. "i don't want to give people false hope that they have a chance." he murmured.
"you can't." david said.
"i can't what?"
"have a girlfriend." david replied.
daniel's eyes widened slightly as he looked at his bandmates. "yes i can."
"no, you can't." randy stated.
"yes, i can. what happens in my personal life and whether or not i'm truly happy is not up to you two." daniel challenged.
"she's not good for you or the band." randy said. now, not only did daniel's jaw drop, but his bandmate's jaws dropped as well.
"how do you know what's good for me?" daniel asked.
"and how could she possibly be 'not good for the band?'" jonah spoke up.
"ophelia has ten times the following you boys do. and with that big of a following comes an even bigger ego. she thinks she's better than all of you, is going to use you daniel to make herself look better than she already does." randy said, speaking what he believed what was true in his mind.
the boys couldn't help but laugh. the words that came out of randy's mouth were completely untrue and they all knew it. randy and david looked at the five as if they had two heads, not understanding why they were laughing.
"that is the funniest thing i've heard all day." corbyn sighed, wiping a fake tear from underneath his eye.
"how the fuck is ophelia going to use us or daniel if she's known him since she was born, and since 2017?" jonah asked, looking at randy and david.
