Bionic Heartbreak || Chase Davenport

*Present*

Harley's body shook with anger as all the memories flashed through her head within a second. All the energy was building up inside of her, it was too much, but she couldn't stop. She needed to feel something.

Suddenly, she lets out a scream.

A scream so powerful, an invisible force knocked down all the trees surrounding her, and the ground shook furiously. But she didn't care. At that moment, Harley felt great.

Once the shaking stopped, Harley opened her eyes to see a smiling Marcus. Harley smiles back as the felt a pinch of happiness come back as she stood with her brother.

"Feels great, right?" Marcus asks the girl.

Harley nods. "Yeah, I feel amazing. But what --" She was cut off as her phone rang for the millionth time since she left the Davenport house. She grabs her phone to see Leo's name pop up. She looks back up at Marcus to see he was gone. She sighs before answering.

"Harley!" Leo's voice rang through the other side of the phone. "I'm so glad you are alright. I'm sorry about what you read in the letter, but please, I need you to come back. The lab blew up, Big D lost all of his stuff, and we were able to receive a message to Adam, Bree, and Chase."

Harley didn't answer at first. She didn't want to go back to the place knowing that Chase and them might show up. But she couldn't leave Leo. He is her best friend.

"Harley?"

Her body slightly jumps as she is brought back into reality.

She scratches her neck as she answers. "Yeah. Um... I'll be there." Without another word, she hangs up the phone and sighs as she places the phone back in her pocket.

The Johnson girl takes a deep breath before geo-leaping to the Davenport household to be met with a box standing right in front of her.

"I am so glad I didn't end up in that box." She says, pointing to the tall wooden box.

"Harley!" Leo runs to his best friend and crushes her into a hug. "Thank you for coming back." His best friend only gives him a smile before Tasha and Davenport pull the girl into a hug as well.

"I am so sorry, Harley." Tasha apologizes.

Before Harley could answer, the door opens.

"We're home!" For the hundredth time today, Harley's body freezes as she hears the familiar voices.

"Well, that didn't take long," Leo says.

Harley stood in the back as the others went to hug the bionic teens.

"Oh, I'm so glad you're safe," Tasha tells the three as she hugs Bree. "I was so worried."

"Are you guys okay?" Davenport asks them as the rest of them hug one another.

"We're fine," Chase assures the man. "But Douglas has a new partner."

"Eh, give it six months. The big one is super high maintenance." Adam says.

"He's some crazy billionaire named Victor Krane, and he's implanting himself with bionics," Chase explains, and Harley's eyes widen.

It's as if a train hit her with a compartment full of memories she didn't remember. But now she did. She knew who Krane was.

He was her creator.

"I've never heard of him, but I'm gonna find out who he is and how to stop him," Davenport says.

"I know who he is," Harley speaks up. Chase looks up to see the girl he loves. He had no idea how much he missed her until the two met each other's eyes. Chase couldn't recognize what she was feeling. All he could tell was that her eyes were stone cold.
