Bionic Heartbreak || Chase Davenport

It was a quiet day in the Davenport household. For once, Harley felt at peace. She was glad that she didn't have to deal with anything dramatic today. Harley and the Davenport siblings were all sitting down on the couch watching a movie until Harley felt instantly tired. She gets up without saying a word to them.

As she was about to head to the elevator to go down to the lab for a recharge, that's when her eyes caught a silver necklace on the desk. She didn't know why, but she felt drawn to it. She walks up to the necklace and picks it up to examine it. She noticed on the side that there was an opening. As she opens it, she didn't realize the youngest Davenport was watching her. Once she opened it, a tiny gasp left her lips as she saw the photo inside. Questions were running through her head as she looked at the photo of her and Chase.

Suddenly, her head started to pound, causing her to let out a hiss and hold her head. As she did, she lost control of her legs and almost fell over until Bree used her super-speed to hold the girl up. As the headache went away, Harley looked at the Davenport girl who was looking at her worriedly. 

"Are you okay?" She asks, and Harley nods before she was released by Bree.

"I just got a headache all of a sudden." She looks between the necklace and Bree. "I'm gonna go down to the lab if that's okay?" After Bree nods, Harley softly smiled at her before towards the lab. As she did, she made eye contact with Chase and her headache returned, but she ignored it as she made her way down to the lab.

As she slept in the capsule that Bree and Chase said was hers, memories started flashing through her dreams.

(Flashback)

"May I sit here?"

Leo looks up from his lunch to be met with a pair of caramel-brown eyes. He immediately knew it was Harley Johnson, one of the popular kids at school. She was always kind to others, a straight-A student who did multiple sports, but Leo has never talked to her once. Not until today.

"I, um, sure!" He exclaims, and the girl smiles at him before sitting down next to him.

"I'm not sure if you know me, but I'm --" She starts.

"Harley, I know." He cuts her off but his eyes widen at how creepy that sounded. "I-I mean, I know because we have a few classes together and you're one of the popular kids here."

Harley chuckles as she watches the boy stumbles on his words. "Leo, don't worry. I'm not here to make fun of you."

"Y-You know my name?" He stutters. He was surprised somebody actually knew his name, especially a popular kid.

"Yeah of course. Who do you think Trent comes to when he plans a prank on you?" She chuckles before stopping at how rude that sounded. "I'm sorry. That sounded insincere. What I mean is that Trent does come to me about pranks, but I always tell him not to do it to you. I know you're harmless so I don't know why he is set out to get you." She smiles. "But with me around, let's hope that changes."

Leo's fear went away as he smiles. "With you around? Does that mean we're friends?"

Harley's smile grows. "Oh, please, Dooley. We're already best friends."

As Marcus went to hit Chase's other hand, Bree quickly speeds over and kicks him in the gut. She grabs his arm and throws him to the ground. Harley spins Bree around and pushes her to the railing. Bree uses her super-speed and goes behind Harley and pushes her to the wall. As Bree went to throw a punch toward Harley, it was blocked by a force field that Harley created.
