new training experiences

Hicca's pov:
I was sitting down at the cove with Toothless in his dragon form, while I was doing some adjustment on the saddle when Toothless started scratching himself like a silly dog, then I heard a something. "Grrr..." It was Toothless and he seemed to have a hard time with something. "What's wrong?" I asked putting the saddle down and standing up.

"I can't reach this part and it itches like crazy!" Toothless said trying to scratch the back of his neck. "Here let me help you with that." I said scratching the back of his neck. "Oh, yeah that's nice." He said then moving a lot, I scratch from under his chin then he fell down like a rock. "Uh...Toothless, you alright?" I asked poking him a little at the side.

"Never better." He said then changed back into his human form then fell fast asleep, I lie down next to him for a while and I was really tired after the past few days of none stop working. I feel an arm over me, and it was Toothless. He pulled me close to his chest, I look up and see that I was only few inches away from his chin. I blush a little and bury my head into his chest, I could feel his grip on me tightening I felt so warm beside him and I fall asleep in his arms.

The next week...

Today in the ring we were all going up against Stormfly, there were a lot more people outside the ring than usual. I guess word must have spread about last week's training and they must want to see me 'take down' a dragon, Toothless was in the crowed cheering me on like always and I was glad he came. While I was running from Stormfly's fire, Austin threw his double sided axe at Stormfly. Stormfly uses her spikes to hit the axe and make it go to another direction.

Stormfly runs to Austin, then he ran to his side trying to get his axe. Stormfly ran into me, I drop my axe and Stormfly stops right in front of me sniffing my hands. "Your doing great Stormfly." I whispered to her than me and Stormfly turn our heads to see Austin screaming, with his axe raised over his head, and he was running towards us. "You better do something quick." Stormfly said raising her wings up pretending to scar me.

I think quickly and I start to scratch Stormfly's neck then the side of her head and then quickly down to her chin. Then like I expected Stormfly fell down like a rock just like how Toothless did back at the cove, Austin stops screaming, and stops in his tracks on what I just did.

Everyone outside the ring cheered for me, and Toothless seemed really happy that I didn't get eaten. I leave the ring with Toothless and I quickly leave the dragon ring, I go to the forge to grab some of my tools and the saddle, then me and Toothless quickly head to the forest, we made sure no one from the village saw where we were going.

When we got to cove, Toothless changed into his dragon form and I put the saddle on his back. I put a few adjustments to it so we don't fall down like yesterday on how we crashed into a tree and it took us both a while to get down. I got on Toothless ready to fly and hopefully to not crash, before we could take off Toothless started chasing something. "Woah, Toothless what are you doing?!" I yelled out holding onto the saddle as tight as I could.

"I saw something and I need to get it." Toothless said and I saw a small light that he was after. I look down at my belt and I saw that he was after the light reflection from my hammer. I carefully get off Toothless and hide behind a rock that had the perfect amount of sunlight for me to do a little experiment. "Hey where did the little light go?!" I hear Toothless say looking around, I grab my hammer out and I used the light to make same little light. "There it is!" Toothless said chasing after the light.

I point my hammer to a different direction and he follows it like a cat. Toothless kept following the little light and I couldn't help but laugh at the sight of silliness, Toothless heard me and looked at me directly. "Uh oh." I whispered under my breath and put my hammer away and I start to run. "Hey get back here." Toothless yelled out chasing after me and he was pretty fast. "You'll have to try and catch me first." I said running as fast I can. "You think you can just trick me like that?! Do you think that was funny?!" He yelled still chasing me at a high speed. "Yes, actually it was pretty funny." I said turning my head around to take a look at him while still running.
