A New Life
Lee opened the car door looking at the new house that slowly was taking shape.
Lee had almost not been able to keep it from Tay
How far the house had gotten.
As Lee was watching the house
The furniture that He and Tay had chosen came with the truck
Slowly backing up
The moving people staring to carry in the stuff from the truck
Lee had everything planed out.
Getting back into his car
Lee looked at the glove compartment

It was strange looking at his car when he stepped out of it.
So much had changed in one year
Lee put his car key in his pocket
He was outside Tay's place
He wanted Tay to know

He picked up his phone calling Tay
"Hey" Lee said
"Lee"
"Are you still home?" Lee asked
"Yes"
"I'm outside your home. Come outside. I have something to show you."
Tay didn't answer.
He hung up
Lee looked up at the building
At that moment he hoped Tay would come out
After everything
Why was he still hesitating
Lee heard two taps at his drivers window
He looked out
"Tay"
Tay was standing there.
Smiling like an idiot
Lee rolled down his window
"Took you long enough"
Tay dashed around getting in the car
"Where are we going?" Tay asked
Lee smiled
"A new life"
Tay's eyes grew bigger the closer they got.
Lee knew
Tay knew
Lee pulled up inform of their new home
Tay stepped out looking at the home
He could barely recognize
"How?" Tay started saying
"Because the bank let us borrow more than we originally was aware of..." Lee whispered as he hugged Tay from behind.
"Everything is done inside. I didn't want you to know because I wanted it to be a surprise."
Lee stepped in front of Tay
Getting on one knee¨
"Tay do you want to say with me, thru this life and in to the next, and so on in to eternity? Marry me Tay. I love you. I want to stay with you forever"
Tay looked at the younger male.
Tay placed his hands on Lees face only nodding.
Lee placed a small box in Tay's hand
Tay opened it
It contained two items
That he picked up in turn
A ring – that said "when you need to know where my heart is"
And a bracelet - "For the days when you can't carry my heart"
Tay looked at Lee.
"When did you have time?"
