Isen's POV

As we stood in the bathroom next to Percy, who was by the tap, I couldn't help but wonder what his power was. Poseidon was the God of the Sea, right? So Percy's power could manifest as pretty much anything to do with water. Judging by the reactions from Percy, Sally and, I guess, Headmaster Vaughn, it had to be impressive...

I jerked out of my train of thought to focus on what the other two were actually doing. Percy was just turning on the tap with a little smile, his eyes sparkling with a mischievous humour, as if he had been waiting for this all day. He merely watched the steady trickle of water for a few seconds, appearing to decide what he was going to do, and I was just about to prompt him for some movement when he tilted his index finger upwards, just slightly. It was an action so minute that I wouldn't have noticed it had I not been watching so closely. To my utter amazement, the stream of water, as if connected to his finger by some invisible force, moved away from the sink at exactly the same angle Percy's finger was tilted at, while still retaining its cylindrical shape! It began pooling in the air at the end of the stream as the water kept flowing from the tap, and Percy seemed content to stay there for a while. He turned to me and Blyke.

'Pretty cool, no?'

It was all I could do to nod and try not to gawp as I tried in vain to remind myself that moving a little water really shouldn't be that impressive. Blyke, as usual, spoke my exact thoughts as he asked,

'Can you do anything else though?'

Percy seemed to find this hilarious as he doubled over laughing while we stood in confusion wondering what was so funny. Surprisingly, Percy kept control of the rather large volume of water now hovering above our heads even as he laughed hysterically. His self-control must certainly be considerable if he could concentrate while laughing, many a time I had lost control when Blyke made a funny remark and I couldn't stop myself from becoming distracted. Finally he recovered himself and stood straighter, now eager to show us more. With absolutely no physical movement to show what he was doing, Percy caused the water to morph back into a long stream which curled around the back of his neck, up and down his body and all around the bathroom. He apparently decided it was time to explore a little as he marched out the door, followed by his ridiculously long snake of H2O; somehow he had managed to turn off the tap when I wasn't watching.

We found ourselves back in the lounge, Percy sprawled across the sofa, seemingly without a care in the world, as if he had nothing to do with the lake floating above him. He adjusted himself so that his hands were free and gestured towards the couch, an invitation for us to sit down. Once we had, he said, 'to answer your question, yes. I don't just control water, I can also control whether or not I get wet, I can breathe underwater, commune with fish and horses-'

'Horses?' I interrupted with a questioning look.

'Yes, horses. Oh I can also do hurricanes, tidal waves, I like tidal waves...' Percy went into a list of the various natural disasters he controlled and I was speechless. How strong was this guy!? He could control hurricanes! Even John couldn't compete with- oh wait, yes he could. But Percy had to be one of the most powerful people around, even if he couldn't measure up to John. I had to take into account his sword though... surely that would give him a big advantage, assuming he could use it, of course. I was just imagining my getting the front page with an article on Percy when I was, once again, jerked out of my train of thought. This time it was because I heard Blyke let out a soft cry of surprise, a sound one rarely heard out of him, and also a grunt from Percy, who was looking up at the water in disbelief. The water was, rather slowly, moving away from its spot above our heads and flowing elsewhere, a body of water now apparently with a mind of its own. I looked at Percy for some sort of explanation, but his expression reflected both mine and Blyke's. This was not his doing.

As we followed the water being pulled away from us, I could see how Percy's eyebrows were scrunched up in confusion as he stared in astonishment at the water he had now completely lost control of. I was so focused on the water that I slammed into Blyke when we came to a halt. My nose in agony, I peered round him to see...nothing. Oh wait. Looking downwards, I noticed a certain seven year-old sitting cross-legged and smiling shyly up at us, the water pooled approximately half a foot above her head!

I know this is late, really sorry :(  I was seriously busy this week but I hope you like the update!
