Love

Love

It's a strong word

Used to much

Used to little

What is love?

That's the question that no one knows the answer too

We try to figure it out but we can't.

Why? 

Why can't we figure out something as simple as love?

I guess one of the reasons is because some people see it as a game.

Think of it like a game of chess.

Each pawn a heartbreak.

You take some down as the other takes some of yours down.

Little do you know, when you and the queen meet.

You might be on her side, she might be on yours.

You wouldn't take her down from her throne.

Why?

Cause when you look at her, she shines.

Shines like gold, diamonds, like the sun.

She's everything you ever wanted

but your scared

scared that she's the same as everyone else

scared that she'll use you

that she'll leave you

But she doesn't and she proves it time and time again.

That means something right?

So why are you still scared?

Because behind both queens are the pawns.

Each pawn a heartbreak

a mistake

insecurities

hatred

pain.

She won't hurt you and you won't hurt her.

You'll hurt yourself

She'll hurt herself

Only because the other doesn't want to see the pain they caused each other.

Love.

What is love?

Love's a game of chess

Just be careful on how you play the game.
