"Lying here, no fear in the darkness. Now I'm not happy unless I'm close enough to you."- "Daylight"

🎼Calum🎼

After I kissed Kristi, I smiled.

She was perfect, as perfect as a human being could be.

I think I love her.

Even though I just met her tonight, I feel like I have known her a lot longer.

"Do you wanna dance", I whisper nervously in her ear.

"Of course", Kristi says, biting her lip.

Then I see a flicker of hair, a color that was similar to Rachel's.

Too similar.

Rachel was a nice person, I could talk for hours with her.

And she is beautiful.

But I don't think I can hurt her.

I travel the world with the band; I don't work well with long-distance relationships.

My last one didn't work out so well.

Kristi, on the other hand, I know is strong.

If I wanted to do a long distance relationship with her, I'm pretty sure it would last more than five seconds.

"Calum? Come back down to Earth", she said, tousling my hair.

"I'm back", I winked before continuing, "What did I miss?".

"Not much, just me standing here for five minutes", she said sarcastically.

"I'm sorry babe I was thinking".

"Thinking about what?", she asked curiously.

"You.", I answered sheepishly.

"Me? Why me?"

"It's complicated."

"I'm okay with complicated Calum. Now tell me the truth.", she said forcefully.

"Fine you want the truth? Here it is: there was a girl I was friends with before I met you before. I realized that we should be friends when I met you."

"Well thanks Cal. I've never really had a guy like me, like you have this night in my whole life. I think you're a keeper.", she said smirking.

"I think you're a keeper too Kristi"

"You can call me Karate Kid if you want, instead of plain Kristi."

"Why Karate Kid?", I ask, my hands now wrapped around her waist.

"Well, you can't really tell anyone but-", she said cupping her hand next to my ear, "I am secretly a black belt in taekwondo and I can kick anyone's ass."

She then looked around and and put one finger to her lip.

"But that's so cool!", I whispered to her.

"Sort of. Not as cool as being uber-famous as a rockstar."

"I'm not a rockstar. I'm punk rock."

"Punk rock my ass", she said laughing.

"Are we going to dance or not Kristi, because I want to get turned up.", I say impatiently.

"Sure Cal. But just saying, I am a really crappy dancer."

"To be honest Kristi, so am I. I was just trying to impress you."

"Well that worked really good.", she said grabbing my hand, making our way to the dance floor.
