After Toyota pulled the Hilux out of the US/Canadian market they did minor updates but nothing to big. It still looked like the 5th gen but with more engine options and two redesigned transmissions. This is the last generation of Hilux that was built in Japan. They had 4 Gas/Petrol engines and 6 Diesel engines options.

3.0L 1KZ-TE SOHC I4 (01-02) - 123hp and 232lb-ft of torque
