Virgil walked down the hallway to his next task. He was supposed to fix the wires in electric. An easy task in a dangerous room. He promised himself to get in and get out as quickly as he could. Virgil cautiously entered the dark and cramped room, stepping over the wires that littered the floor. He began his task, thinking to himself about how nice it would be when they landed to distract himself. He and his husband Roman were among the lucky few managed to get off of earth before the planet collapsed completely. As if on cue, Roman walked in behind him and stood next to him, beginning to transfer data. "Hey Mi amor." Roman smiles at him out of the corner of his eye. Virgil let himself breathe out a sigh of relief. "Hey babe. I was wondering where you were." Roman stepped up to the server and began to download data. "Just finishing my tasks." Virgil finished connected the wires and closed the metal box mounted to the wall. "Okay, But hurry and get out of here. The guy with the lime suit was killed in here last week." Roman sighed and rolled his eyes fondly. "I know, I know. I'll be fine love." He quickly kisses Virgil's cheek. Virgil smiled softly at that. "Okay, I love you." "Love you too."
Roman hadn't come back for an hour. Virgil seemed to be the only one who noticed that he was gone. He tried to breathe evenly as he made his way to electrical. He'd checked in every other room but there was no sign of him anywhere. "I'm sure he just had to start the reactor. It always takes him forever to do that." He laughed nervously to himself. "Roman?" He called out stepping into the dark room once again. "Roman, are you still in here?" There was no response. Virgil soon saw why. The emo stepped into the very back corner of the room, and there, on the ground, was Roman's lifeless body. You could hardly make out the blood coating his bright red suit, but the stab wound made it obvious what had happened. Virgil dropped to his knees and clutched his husband's body close. There was no telling how long roman had been dead for, he wasn't breathing now. He had died here all alone, with no one to even help him though it. Virgil wouldn't have a chance to say goodbye. He began to choke on his sobs, completely forgetting to report the death in his grief. He didn't notice when the lights went out, or when the other crew members gathered around him, until Roman's body was being pulled from his arms and he was walking with the others to the cafeteria.
Brown, Virgil didn't know his name, had been the one to report. He now stood in front of the crew, pointing a finger at Virgil. "Virgil over here was standing with the body when we found him." Virgil said nothing. He just kept his eyes straight ahead and tried to slow his tears. "It should also be noted, that he didn't report the body either, and as you can see he is covered in blood." Brown crosses his arms and turned to Virgil. "Anything to say?" Before he had a chance to speak, pink started to. "I saw him running in and out of rooms earlier...right before the body was found." There was silence. "Virgil?" Brown spoke again. Virgil sucked in a breath. "He is..was,"
-he chocked back another sob- "my husband. I loved him." Brown smirked. "So why would you kill him?" Virgil finally met his eyes with a glare. "I didn't." Brown laughed. "Oh sure you didn't. That's why we all found you with the body." There was a murmur around the table and the voting began.Patton was the only one who didn't vote for him.
Virgil's mind was numb as he was marched to the ejection shoot. He barely registered the fact he was about to die. "Any last words?" Brown asked, now smirking again. It was then Virgil realized who the actual imposter was. Well it was too late now. Taking the last of what little strength he had left, he raised his head and spoke. "See you in hell." And with that, Virgil was pushed into the abyss. He died a few minutes later. "At least I'll see my roman again." Was his last thought.

Yeah, I know I've been writing only angst lately. I'm honestly not sure what to say. I'm trying to write the next part of "A different kind of Perfect", so it should be out next. Don't quote me on that though.
