Rebecka's P.O.V

"𝐘ou're going Germany!?" Luna exclaims in disbelief, Peter nods.

"Yeah, it's for an internship." He explains with a mouthful of sandwich. I poke my salad slightly, looking up at the boy.

"What internship is it?" I ask, curious to find out what big company or person Peter managed to get an internship with. Peter gulps, scratching his neck. I raise an eyebrow at his odd reaction, waiting for his response.

"Uhm, in fact it's sort of a.. Stark internship, with your dad." He says slowly.

I almost drop my fork as he mentions Stark, my dad gave an internship to the boy I just brought over yesterday, I don't like the thought of that at all.

"You got a Stark internship and you're going to Germany. God that it so cool." Ned sighs in admiration.

"Yeah, I'm pretty excited. Are you okay with it Becka? I wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable or anything." Peter asks. looking at me with kind eyes.

I shake my head, of course I would be happy for Peter, as much as I dislike my dad working with my new friend, it was a huge opportunity. "Of course not, I'm happy for you. He doesn't do this stuff often." I respond, trying to fake a smile. Peter seems to believe my smile and his face lightens up.

"Great." He smiles, continuing to munch on his lunch.

"Dad, are you here?" I shout, dropping my backpack on the big coffee table in the middle of our living room. I hear footsteps above, moving towards the stairs.

"Hey honey, how was school?" My dad greets me with a hug as soon as he reaches me.

"It was good, I heard you give out internships now." I say, getting straight to the point. Dad nods, taking off his glasses.

"Yes, that friend of yours applied for a special foundation. I liked his application and he seemed nice yesterday when you brought him here, so I went for it." He explains, walking over towards the bar. I can clearly tell that he is lying.

"That's a nice story dad, now tell me the real one. Why Peter?" I cross my arms. He sighs at my stubbornness.

"There is no real story, the boy is smart and I'm giving him a great opportunity that could kick start his future career." He states, grabbing a bottle of water from the mini fridge.

"And taking him to Germany?" I question, moving my hands to my hips.

"There is a great lab there, we are going there to show.. stuff." He replies, obviously lying again.

"Why can't you just tell me the truth, are you dragging him into some superhero thing?" I point at him.

"No, it is simply just a visit to a very good lab. Now this conversation is over, done." He states in a slightly loud tone.
