Rebecka's P.O.V

𝐈 feel myself slowly wake as the sun creeps in through the window, a silent knock on the door makes me force my eyes open, squinting at the intense light. The door opens revealing Natasha Romanoff, she smiles at me as she enters.

"Morning kid, your dad sent me to check on you." She says calmly, giving me time to wake up completely and respond.

"What time is it?" I finally ask before sitting up, my eyes gradually getting used to the brightness of my room.

"It's 10:20 am." She says, eyeing her watch. My eyes widen.

I rush out of my bed, throwing my hair into a messy ponytail. "I'm late for school." I explain with my back turned to a surprised Natasha.

"Your dad didn't want you to go today, after what happened yesterday I also think you need the rest." I feel Natasha's hand landing on my shoulder. Shaking my head at her words I turn to her.

"I feel fine, I really don't want to miss the entire day, please." I plead. Natasha sighs but eventually nods her head, grabbing my backpack from the floor.

"At least take it slow, alright?" She says firmly.

I quickly nod in response and she hands me the backpack. "Thanks Nat!"

Sprinting towards Happy's office I pray to myself that he's there and not busy. I see him sitting by his desk, reading something. He looks up at me as I knock on his door, motioning for me to come in.

"Happy, can you take me to school. I really want to go and Nat said it was fine." I try to catch my breath.

He raises an eyebrow at me. "Is Nat your mother?"

Confused by the question I pause. "No?"

"Then why can she say what's allowed?" He asks. "Tony said you were staying home today."

I slam my hand on his desk, not too hard of course, after all I did want him to help me. "Happy, I really want to go to school so I can try to get to know my new friends and find out if I like this boy or not, you know stuff I can't really do alone in my room."

Happy shakes his head, putting down his magazine. "Fine" Is all he says before grabbing his keys. "Tony will have my head for this you know.

I clap my hands happily, walking behind him towards the elevators. "You're the best."

Peter's P.O.V

"This assignment doesn't make any sense!" Luna exclaims in frustration, looking at the papers.

Ned starts pointing at the paper with his pen. "You just have to answer these questions, and then write a short summary. You got this." He explains calmly. I tap my pen on the table, staring at the blank wall behind them. I feel the urge to turn around as I hear someone approaching.

"Hey guys" A familiar voice greets us. It's Becka walking over to us, she looks very relieved.

Luna gasps. "Becka! We thought you stayed home today." She jumps up giving her best friend a hug. "I was so worried about you, are you okay?"

Becka pulls away from the hug and they both sit down by our table next to each other. "I'm fine, Spider Man saved me remember."

Luna nods, still worriedly looking at her friend. "Must have been so scary, thank god for Spider Man."

"I'm really glad you're okay.. we I mean, we are really glad." I stutter, biting my lip in regret. 'Why do I have to be so awkward?'

Becka smiles at me. "Yeah."

---

After the break is over and we all walk through my eyes keeps on traveling over to Becka walking next to Luna.

"Oh shoot, I forgot my phone in the library." Luna suddenly shouts, startling both Ned and Becka.

"I'll come with you to get it!" Ned quickly adds right as Becka opens her mouth, probably to say the exact same thing. Luna nods and we watch the two quickly storm off, leaving us alone in the now empty hallway.

"It's almost like he was waiting for an opportunity to do that." Becka states, confused with her hands on her hips.

I awkwardly laugh. "He kind of was."

She looks at me surprised. "Does he have a crush on her?" She asks, pointing to the direction of the library.

I nod, making her let out a small laugh.

"Good to know." She nods.

"Yeah."

Becka looks up at me with an awkward look. She clears her throat, slightly tapping her foot before opening her mouth. "You know, we never finished those catch up papers."

Right, I totally forgot about them. That could have been the perfect excuse to hang out. Damn Peter. I scratch my neck "Right, the papers."

She nods "If you don't mind, could you maybe help me out with the rest tonight? Or some other day if it's a bad time." She asks, awkwardly playing with her fingers.

I quickly nod. "Yeah for sure. I have nothing tonight."

A string of her hair falls forward "Would it be okay if we went to your place? I don't really wanna torture you with my dad today." She quickly tucks the hair behind her ear, awaiting my response.

"Yeah, I'm sure my aunt would love to meet you!" I smile.

"Okay, cool." She smiles back.

The voices of our friends can be heard, approaching through the hallway. I walk towards Ned as he appears.

"See you after school then." She says as Luna grabs her arm, leading her the opposite way. They disappear around the corner too fast for me to respond.

Ned gives me a weird look as he sees me smile after them before nodding his head. "Aha, I see." He smirks.

I return his previous weird look in question. "What?"

"It's okay Peter, I already know." He says calmly.

"Oh shut up." I whine, speeding off towards the classroom.
