Drawbacks.
Everyone experiences them, but normally in a normal "I've been drinking way too much" way. But I had to take a step further and buy some poorly mixed cocaine ish powder and sniff it. My body was weak and all my senses were hightened. It was awful, as soon as someone touched me, it felt like little knives were cutting my skin, where they touched me. It all felt like a dream, or nightmare rather. As if this whole thing weren't real, at all. The drugs were surely working their "magic" on me.
I wanted to speak, but I couldn't get any words out. Freddie was carrying me to my bedroom as Roger opened the doors. He put me down on the icy cold bed and sat down next to me. I heard him sigh as he helped me out of my blazer. Under it, was my naked body but I didn't care. Freddie had already seen me naked so many times, plus I was far too gone to worry about it.
"What have you done to yourself" I heard Freddie whisper, as he pulled his shirt off. He put it over my head and dragged my arms into the sleeves. It was a long normal white shirt and I sighed. His vanilla scent was all over it and since my senses were going crazy, it filled my entire head, making me feel more dizzy.
My head hit the pillow and Freddie pulled the duvet over me, tucking me in. It helped a bit, but I was still trembling, it was as though I couldn't get warm at all. I held onto the duvet as I tried to warm my cold body and I noticed Freddie looking down at me, with downhearted eyes.
"I-I'm s-so c-cold" I manage to stutter as my entire body was ice cold. I felt the bed move as Freddie got up from it and I watched him go out of my room. I shot up in the bed, not wanting him to leave, I was about to walk out after him, but not long after, he came back into the room.
"Hey, go lay down, please"
"I can't"
"Come here," Freddie let his arms around me and I felt his body warmth. His breath was brushing against my neck, leaving warm sensations on it. "You're so cold" Freddie said with a surprised voice and I cleared my throat. Just talking were hurting so I tried not to.
Freddie helped me back in the bed and I crawled up against the wall as he jumped into bed with me. He was on his side, looking at me and I couldn't help but move as close to him, as possible. I let my arm over him and leg inbetween his.
"Emma," Freddie whispered as he slowly let his hand on my back, under the shirt he had borrowed me, "be quiet, I'm just trying to get warm. This doesn't mean anything" I was coming back to my senses but I was still quivering, desperate to get warm. Our conversation earlier had been coming back to me and I was still mad at him. But this drawback was too much, I needed someone close.
I pressed my head against his chest and listened to his heart beat, which was surprisingly steady. It calmed me down for some reason, as his almost naked body warmed mine. I felt my lips touch his chest, that's how close I was.
"Please don't do this again" Freddie muttered melancholy as he gently brushed his hand against my back and up towards my neck. I sighed, started to feel the drawbacks from all the alcohol I had been drinking too, as well as the dirty cocaine.
"Why do you care" I managed to mutter, well knowing this would spark a discussion. "I can't always be there for you, to save you from these situations. I want to, but I simply can't. I'll be worrying constantly about you, when we're not together and it'll drive me mad. Please be careful, I don't want to lose you" his voice was soft and fragile, but yet so dark and mysterious.
I laughed at his choice of words "I don't want to lose you". Jokes on you Mercury, you are already losing me. You had me for a second, but you're letting me slip away. Again.
"I mean it" he said with a deeper tone, pressing me up against him, as if I could get any closer. "My dear, I know I said I can't be around you right now but.. You're making it very hard for me to stay away. Especially when you run out and take foul drugs" he added as he slowly let his nails run down my spine.
