"You look gorgeous Emma! So nice to see you again" Veronica said as she gave me a warm welcome. "You too Veronica, your house is absolutely stunning!" I said with a big smile, but felt rather anxious as I was around so many people. Granted, I knew them all pretty much, but still. 

I walked into the beautiful house and John came to greet me as well. He had a apron on, looking rather stressed out. 

"Hiya John, you in the kitchen tonight?" I chuckled as he quickly gave me a hug and greeted the others. "Ronnie is forcing me to help her, it's so fucking stressful, I dunno how she does it every single day" he said, completely out of breath. 

"Come with me, food's almost ready you guys"

John said and walked us into the huge dining room. Beautiful decor, an amazingly huge dinner table in the middle with lovely motives carved in it. A stunning chandelier were hanging from the ceiling, it's super fancy, but yet the vibe was so chill.

I had taken my white blazer on, since I managed to get the stains of it. A battle it was, but a battle worth it. Freddie wasn't here yet, shocker.

"Robert, this is auntie Emma I've told you about" John came in with the little boy who looked just like him. Except for the blonde hair, he definitely got that from Ronnie. "Hi Robert, oh what a cool little car you got there! Is it fast?" I leaned down to face the little boy.

He looked rather shy, but he then looked up and showed me the little yellow car in his hand. "SO fast!" he exclaimed and drove it across the room. "Wow! How cool, I want a car just like that one" I laughed and looked at John, who had a big fat smile planted on his face.

"H-Here you can borrow it Auntie Emma" he came running back with the car in his hand and put it in mine. "Oh Robert, that's awfully nice of you, thank you" I said with a happy voice. He sent me a smile and ran into my arms. 

"Freddie! You're here, come in" I heard John say as the door opened. "Mary, so happy you could make it tonight after all".

"Shit" I mumbled but quickly slapped my mouth. Little Robert looked up at me with big eyes. "Shit" he said and started clapping his hands. "No no nooo Robert, that's a no no word okay, don't say that again" I whispered, "it's our little secret okay?" I quickly said and luckily the little boy just nodded his head and ran out to his mum.

I sighed, phew, that was close. "Hello Emma" I heard Mary's sly voice behind me. I got up from the floor and brushed away dirt from my dress. "Mary, pleasure" I said and shook her hand. She smiled and walked away into the kitchen to greet the others.

"Emma" Freddie coldly said and walked away too. I sighed deeply and put my head in my hands. This is going to be a long night. 

I haven't spoken to Freddie since the night I was intoxicated with a bad mix of cocaine and other drugs. I feel slighty embarrassed, but I also know that Freddie is not a person who judges others. At least not friends.

"How lovely it smells Ronnie, I can't wait to taste it" I heard Brian from the kitchen and I decided to join them. A little knot in my stomach appeared but I walked over to Roger, who hadn't brought any date. "Rog, this is too much" I whispered and felt more anxious than ever. "You can pull through it Em, I believe in you. It's healthy that you go out besides, we're all your friends, remember that" Roger gave me a comforting hug.

I didn't let go of him until I felt the knot slowly disappeared. "Thank you" I whispered towards his chest and sent him a smile. "Sit next to me and you'll be fine" he took my hand in his and returned the smile.

"Alright, dinner's ready!" Ronnie called and walked us into the dining room. 

We all sat down at the dinner table, besides Freddie who was in the bathroom. And of course the only spot left was next to me. I wanted to get up and switch with Roger, but everyone was already here and it would look way too weird.
