" Everyone gather in the living room for our monthly ceremony! " Shikaku announced loudly. " Ugh! What a drag! " Shikamaru sighed. " What's the 'monthly ceremony'? " Temari asked. " It's just movie night. They take it so seriously for no reason " Shikamaru shrugged. " Okay the polls are in " Yoshino smiled. " And by polls you mean what you two— " Shikamaru was cut off. " Today we will be watching, Drumroll please " She said. Temari and Shikaku pat their legs.

" Child's Play! " She said. " You mean with chucky? " Shikamaru asked. " Yep! " She smiled.

~A little later~

Temari was clinging to Shikamaru for dear life. All the lights were off and this movie was extremely scary. " I told you " Yoshino whispers to Shikaku. " It's just a movie. Your overreacting " He said. " Well maybe if everything wasn't 'such a drag' to you then you'd understand the concept of jump scares " She rolled her eyes. After a little, the movie was over. " Alright kiddo's time to go to bed " Shikaku said, turning off the light. Temari holds onto Shikamaru's arm tighter. They got ready for bed, Shikamaru held her hand again.

~In Her Dream~

Temari was walking in the middle of no where. Literally. There was nothing. Nothing at all. All of a sudden there she was. It was our black, and as if she was walking on a large very shallow puddle. A younger version of herself. With her fan. She was covered in blood. The blood of those men. " You killed them " The child spoke. " N-no... it wasn't my fault I promise!! I promise I do!! " She said. She covered her ears. " You did. You killed them. Because your an evil monster " She said.

" No... no I promise I'm not. I didn't do that on purpose. They came and tried to hurt me... I-I didn't mean to I swear " She said. " They wouldn't have killed you. And they didn't because you killed them first " She said. " Your a murderer " She hissed before disappearing. But her voice was still there. " I wonder how he will feel if he ever found out " She said, suddenly Shikamaru appeared in front of her. " I don't think we should be friends anymore Temari " He said. Tears streamed down her face.

" Wh... why....? " She asked. " It's like I always say. It's such a drag. " He shrugged. " And I can't be seen walking around with a murderer " He added, turning around. She ran, hugging him from behind. " I promise I'm not!! Please don't leave me!! I love you!! " She said. " Too bad. " He said, suddenly fading away. " No!! No no... " She said. " Please don't leave me " She whispered, falling down to the ground, making ripples in the water.

~End of dream~

She snapped up, breathing heavily. She felt her face. There was tears. She frantically looked next to her, he was still there, sound asleep. She sighed of relief. Please, stay with me okay? She thought, placing a soft kiss on his cheek. She lays back down, staring at his sleeping face. She smiled, before eventually falling asleep once again.

~The next day~

" A haunted house? " Temari asked. " Yep! I've invited everyone I know! " Ino smiles. " I don't know... I don't like the dark " She said. " Don't worry! You've got Shikamaru to protect you! " She gave her a thumbs up. " What? " She asked, slightly blushing. " Well... what'dya say? " She asked. " I don't know... " She said. " Great! It's this Saturday, Shikamaru will bring you there, he knows where to go " She said. " Alright... " She said.

~That Saturday~

Shikamaru waited for Temari to be ready. Finally she came out. " Alright, let's go " He sighed. " Lemme guess. This whole thing 'is a drag' " She mocked him, rolling her eyes. " Hey you said it not me " He shrugged. They met up with the others. " Alright everyone get into pairs. We're doing the 'buddy system' I'll go with Sai " Ino said. " I'll take Hinata with me " Naruto said, wrapping his arms around her shoulder and pulling her closer to him. She blushed a little. " Me and Neji will go then " Tenten said.

" I'll go with Sasuke-Kun " Sakura said, clinging to his arm. " I guess I'll have to go with you then " Temari sighed looking at Shikamaru. " Hey, why didn't Choji come? You said you invited everyone you know " Sakura said. " He said something about a barbecue challenge against his father or whatever " She shrugged. " Anyways, let's go inside " She announced. They all went to but tickets each. Fist there was a rollercoaster ride with a few jump scares, leading them to the real fun. A maze.

There was four different paths. " Alright split up. I think they connect at the end " Ino said. She was like the party leader. They all did so.

~With Shikamaru and Temari~

Temari refuses to let go of his arm. She keeps jumping at everything. " Aaah!! " She screamed, a man with a very detailed zombie makeup and outfit had popped out randomly right next to her. She jumped, ending up with Shikamaru holding her bridal style. " Really? " He asked, about to put her down. " Nononono!! Look down!! " She said. He looked at the floor, hands were reaching out trying to grab his legs. " Seriously? " He asked. She nodded. He sighed, avoiding the hands.

To be honest, he didn't mind it as much as he made it seem. He liked to protect her for some reason.

~After~

He put her down, they'd finally gotten to the exit. " Not a word about that " She said. " I don't really care to be honest " He shrugged. They met up with the others. All that's left was for Naruto and Hinata to come out. And there they were. Hinata holding one of the scary masks. " Why...? " Sakura asked. " He gave it to her because she liked the detail " Naruto rolled his eyes. She's such an art nerd. They all laughed.
